The Benefits of Using a Moving Service
Moving to a new home can be an exciting but stressful time. One way to alleviate some of the stress is by using a moving service. Here are some benefits of using a moving service:
- Convenience: A moving service can handle all aspects of your move, from packing and loading your belongings to transporting them to your new home. This saves you time and energy that you can use to focus on other aspects of your move, such as finding a new school or job.
- Expertise: Professional movers are experienced in handling delicate and valuable items, such as antiques, artwork, and electronics. They have the right equipment and techniques to ensure that your belongings are packed and transported safely.
- Insurance: Reputable moving services offer insurance for your belongings during the move. This provides added protection and peace of mind in case anything is damaged or lost during the move.
- Cost-effective: Although hiring a moving service may seem expensive at first glance, it can actually be cost-effective in the long run. A moving service can help you avoid the costs of renting a truck, buying packing materials, and hiring labor to help you move.
- Safety: Moving heavy and bulky items can be dangerous if you don’t have the right equipment and training. Professional movers know how to safely lift and move heavy items, reducing the risk of injury.
- Flexibility: Moving services offer a range of services, from full-service packing and moving to labor-only services. This allows you to choose the level of assistance that best fits your needs and budget.
Moving Truck Driver is a great option for those who need to transport their belongings in a U-Haul or Penske truck. They specialize in driving these trucks and can make the moving process smoother and less stressful.
Finding Housing in California
Finding a place to live in California can be a daunting task, especially if you’re not familiar with the area. Here are some tips for finding housing unique to the area:
- Research different neighborhoods: California is a large state, and each neighborhood has its own unique feel. Spend some time researching different areas to find one that fits your lifestyle and budget.
- Use online resources: There are many websites that can help you find apartments or homes for rent or sale. Zillow, Trulia, and Redfin are just a few of the popular ones.
- Be prepared to act fast: The California housing market moves quickly, so be prepared to act fast when you find a place you like. Make sure you have all the necessary documents ready, and be ready to put down a deposit.
Dealing with Logistics
Moving to California requires a bit of logistical planning. Here are some tips to help you prepare:
- Get your driver’s license: You’ll need a California driver’s license if you plan on driving in the state.
- Register your vehicle: You’ll also need to register your vehicle with the California DMV within 20 days of establishing residency.
- Change your address: Don’t forget to change your address with the post office and any other relevant institutions, such as your bank and credit card companies.
Connecting with a Reputable Realtor
Connecting with a reputable realtor when moving to California can have many benefits. A realtor can provide you with valuable information about the local housing market, help you find the right neighborhood, and negotiate the best deal on your behalf. Here are some reasons why you should consider connecting with a realtor:
- Knowledge of the local market: A realtor has access to information about the local housing market, such as property values, trends, and inventory. This information can be invaluable when making decisions about where to live and what to pay for your new home.
- Professional expertise: A realtor is a trained and licensed professional who knows how to navigate the complex process of buying or renting a home. They can guide you through the entire process, from searching for properties to closing the deal.
- Network of contacts: A realtor has a network of contacts in the real estate industry, including other realtors, lenders, and home inspectors. They can use their contacts to help you find the right property and ensure that your transaction goes smoothly.
- Negotiation skills: A realtor is trained in the art of negotiation and can help you get the best deal possible on your new home. They can work with the seller or landlord to negotiate a fair price, terms, and conditions.
- Legal protection: A realtor can help you navigate the legal aspects of buying or renting a home, including contracts, disclosures, and inspections. They can also help you understand your rights and obligations as a buyer or tenant.
A good realtor can help you find the right neighborhood, navigate the housing market, and negotiate a fair price. Moving Truck Driver has worked with amazing realtors all over the country and can connect you with a realtor in the area where you are looking, who can help you find your dream home.

2023.05.28 13:14 itsallalittleblurry Fucked-Upedness
Today was the anniversary of Bud’s death again. Momma and I went to see him. Took some fresh flowers.
We buried him under a nice shade tree, you know. Wanted him to have some shade. Good shade’s important here, as hot as the sun gets.
Put a nice bench under it. Black Italian marble, with words from a poem etched/carved into it in white. On a solid concrete base, so it wouldn’t settle.
Weren’t any benches in that newer part of the place when we put him there. Lots of ‘em now. People liked it, wanted to know where we’d gotten it. So a number of benches now.
He used to be alone, too, but has plenty of company now. Getting a little crowded, in fact.
Tree has grown considerable. You can lean back comfortably against the trunk now. Use it as a backrest. Sit and visit for a while.
Gonna get a little sleep soon. Then tomorrow/today, I’m gonna go and set out some flags again. For Bud had his friend Sal. Like we do every year.
Sal was a friend of his. Marine. Killed by sniper fire just before he was due to return home.
Bud was on leave, and he and other friends of both of them were planning a welcome home party to celebrate his safe return. On hand to bury him instead. Left a young wife and child.
The two of them lie within easy sight of each other.
Been a bitch of a day. Ever feel like just sayin’ “Fuck all this?”
But tomorrow be better. Or the day after. Or the one after that. If not, well then fuck that, too.
Find something funny:
I chased a fire truck down a busy street once. Simple misunderstanding. We’d been checking hydrants all day. Pulled up to another one, and I got off. Hydrant wrench in one hand, cheater pipe in the other.
And the fuckers took off and left me standing on the curb. Had just stopped for a fucking red light.
And so the race was on. Chased ‘em for a few blocks. Was gaining, and though I’d catch up when they stopped at another red light. But the fucker turned green.
But you know, people were getting the fuck out of my way?
Had to use a pay phone (remember those) to call the station and have ‘em come pick my dumb ass up. Lt was relieved and pissed at the same time: “We were just gonna come back and look for you. Though you’d fallen off somewhere.”
Bastards never let me live that one down. Ten years later I was still having new probies coming up and asking: “Lt, are you the one that …….?”
“Yeah, it was me. Now go clean the truck.”
“We just did.”
“Well, clean it again.”
Between that and my unfortunate love affair with trees and inanimate objects, a ditch that had been put in the wrong place, and a pumper truck that there was some concern that we might lose one night (stuck in the mud much too close alongside the railroad tracks with a freight inbound) that occasioned frequent vehicle repair, replacement of bay doors, and minor damage to a certain Federal building one afternoon, I was a legend in my own time. Made the Captain curse on three different occasions, and he was a calm, deeply religious man who didn’t believe in it. Nobody else ever pissed him off quite that much that I know of.
Was finally suggested that I take the Lt’s exam. The Department hierarchy were fairly insistent. Wanted to get me out of the Driver’s seat, I suppose. I was becoming too expensive.
I’d asked the Captain once if I could be assigned to an aerial truck. Always wanted to drive one of the Big Boys. He calmly asked if I’d lost my mind, and said not if he could help it. Then something about “Not while I’m alive”, sounded like. But a little under his breath, so I can’t be sure.
Got told to “Slow the fuck down!!” so many times that I was frankly getting tired of hearing it. That’s what the horn, siren, and spinny-twirly lights were for, after all. If you weren’t enjoying your job, you were doin’ it wrong.
I was the only one who passed it, and I hadn’t cracked a book……..Might have been rigged (desperate times call for desperate measures sometimes, after all).
But I was a surprisingly good Lt. Everyone has their niche.
I’m told that the stories are still told; passed down. Usually starting along the lines of “There was this one Lt……..”, and being greeted, more or less, with “Bullshit. You’re lying.”
But it’s good to be remembered for Something.

2023.05.28 12:52 aTingor2boutaTingor2 1997 Chevy P30 hazard light stuck on
We have a 1997 P30 utilimaster. After months in the dealership service department last summer (brakes, $5800), it was returned to us with the hazard lights permanently on. There is no hazard light switch. An indicator flashes under the dash when the hazard light is on. We have to pull the Stop/Hazard fuse whenever the engine isn't running, to protect the battery. When driving, we have to pull the signal flasher and replace the fuse; this gives us brake lights but no turn signals.
Obviously, shutting off the hazard lights would be ideal. At this point, anything that gets turn signals and brake lights working would be an improvement.
It was DHL delivery truck, then several iterations of food truck. The turn signals and brake lights worked before the dealership brake job.

2023.05.28 12:29 blg1987 Why I'm grieving the season that never happened (and maybe never will)
The build-up to Season 3 was such an exciting time for me.
Season 2 had been a huge disappointment, especially towards the end. I struggled with the way they'd handled Jon's story and felt like so much had been removed that made Season 1 great - Clois had taken a back seat, there were barely any happy family moments, the Cushing's had been given a disproportionate focus. Many of the seasons plots seemed to have been picked up and dropped like hotcakes and the writing felt lazy. At certain points, I wondered if I should just let go of any positive expectations of the shows quality, accepting that season 1 was a beautiful fluke in the world of Superman media representations I could love.
When interviews started trickling through, and the season 3 synopsis came out - it felt like maybe the fans’ voices had been heard! I dared to feel excited. They described Lois and Clark in romantic bliss, working together as reporters again, a new merciless villain that we assumed would be the recently cast Chad Coleman as Bruno Mannheim (the introduction of Intergang was something i'd personally been hoping for since we met Killgrave in season 1) - and then they cast Michael Cudlitz as LEX LUTHOR! - my all-time favourite villain - with a description of him that was music to my ears.
Despite my caution, I found myself on the edge of my seat waiting for the season to begin.
We did hear some news that there would be a character with cancer, but this was quickly assumed to be a side character in the story. We guessed (correctly in some ways) that it might be Mannheims wife. There were a few questions about whether it could be Lois, but these were quickly dismissed. They wouldn't give Lois Lane cancer, that would just be crazy... right?
And then... they did. I couldn't believe it. I had no idea what to do with this information.
Now, let me preface this by making a few things clear.
Firstly, I think they have done a fantastic job showing a woman's journey with breast cancer. The writing around that aspect of the story has been top-notch. There has been some beautiful direction and cinematography around the emotional scenes and of course, the entire cast, particularly Bitsie and Tyler, have done an incredible job. Secondly, I understand that there are some viewers who have their own personal experiences of cancer and are finding the identification healing and therefore enjoying the season. I think that's really lovely, that it is bringing something positive for those of you who feel that way.
However, the truth is, for me and many others I know, the decision to focus an entire season on Lois Lane being diagnosed and treated for aggressive inflammatory breast cancer, to show in excruciating detail every aspect of it from the insertion of a chemo port, close-ups on chemo bags, vomiting, hair loss, loss of energy, loss of sense of self, and now surgical removal of both breasts... has been a huge shock that continues to rumble through every episode.
This was not the Season 3 I was hoping for.
I know many have spoken about the misogynistic undertones of the plot. I think that's a very valid concern and as a woman myself, probably does add to that shock factor I experience each episode - but since so much of that has already been discussed, I wanted to talk personally about the other reasons why this has been so hard for me (and i'm sure for others too).
I've been a Superman fan since I was a kid. Superman is my happy place. As a kid I watched Lois and Clark every week and recorded it on VHS as it aired (I must have been about 7 at the time). I wrote Smallville fanfiction as a teenager and in the lead-up to MOS, I was on message boards arguing about whether or not he should keep the red pants. I love Superman stories, I love Lois Lane, I love Clark Kent. I love their relationship and the kind of trouble they get into. I love the villains they go up against and they ways in which they have to save each other and the world from various crisis.
Superman for me is the ultimate escapism. As Grant Morrison famously said - 'Somewhere in our darkest night, we made up the story of a man who would never let us down,' and through all the stresses of my life, I have turned to Superman for comfort. Lois Lane is just as much a part of that escapist fantasy as Clark. I love seeing her thriving, proving to the world over and over again that she is a woman not to be trifled with. I even studied journalism at university because she inspired me so much - I thought if I could be half the woman she was, id be happy in my skin.
I don't think i'm alone in this. I think there are a lot of people who turn to the medium of fantasy storytelling as a rest bite from the world - and Superman in particular is a shining light in the darkness for many. Let's not forget, that this show appeared during extremely uncertain times, during the covid 19 pandemic when there was so much trauma surrounding us. It was a beacon to hold on to for many people as they trudged through that reality.
Now, i've been 'burned' as a Superman fan before. I walked out of MOS crying because I was so unhappy with the creative choices they made (letting Jonathan die, snapping Zod's neck). I had a love-hate relationship with Smallville for many years, feeling like their characterisation of Clark was often so off key it was offensive. So when Superman & Lois was first announced, I had very little expectation. I'd become quite guarded.
After only a few episodes, that guard came down. By episode 1x11 I was fully in love - because they'd proven they understood the core of what makes Superman stories work. We finally had what felt like a perfect characterization of Clark & Lois. A naturally dorky Clark who was always trying to do the right thing, a tenacious and ballsy Lois with a heart of gold, a Superman that felt like such a commanding presence and yet so friendly and hopeful too. And now we had two new characters to love! Jordan and Jonathan, the son's of this amazing power couple, who both showed aspects of their parents but had their own interesting quirks to play with. The possibilities felt endless. There was so much they could do with this amazing family setup, so many stories they could tell. Just pop on over to Archive of Our Own and you'll see how many fans were inspired to write stories within this world, playing with the different experiences these characters could have together as a unique and engaging family unit.
Season 2 lost sight of that. It tried to tell too many stories, and in the end managed to pull off none. It squashed a lot of the good characterization it had built up, seemingly for the sake of drama beats that weren't needed. But I really hoped Season 3 would pick that back up. That we'd get to see the kind of stories this show was capable of telling within the amazing world of Superman. That these characters would actually get plots that matched their potential.
Instead, we got cancer. In a show that so many turn to for a rest bite from the darkness in the world, for a bit of joy and hope and fun - we got excruciating detail of the journey of inflammatory breast cancer.
I know we technically have other storylines going on in the background - but for me at least, they feel insignificant in comparison.
It's clear a lot of priority and effort has gone into getting the cancer part of the story right - and understandably so. You can't tell a cancer story in a half-baked way... but the result of that is that all the rest of the story elements are paid much less attention. Even the villain plot is about cancer - so instead of seeing Mannheim as a nasty SOB and the inner workings of Intergang, we see a loving husband fighting to save his wife as she sits with Lois in chemo.
Add to that the number of side characters we are having to balance, and the boys barely have plots at all this season. We see Jordan doing bits of training and the occasional save - but there's very little growth or room for introspection about that journey. We see Jon jumping at the chance to be a hero in any capacity, but still, we see him being put down at times - and both boys plot are often about their mom's cancer (again, understandably so... how could they not be?).
We get snapshots of Chrissy & Kyle, Lana as a divorcee, Lana slapping Sarah (what the hell was that btw?), Natalie's first love, Natalie bonding with Grandpa Lane, JHI bonding with his sister, JHI letting his anger out at Mannheim, Kyle suspicious of a superhero in town - but these things often feel like side quests that barely link together (i'm looking at you Junior!)
At the end of the day, the cancer story they are telling, is just too big. It's too big for it to even feel like a Superman show at times. All of those amazing fun story ideas that have been swirling around fans minds - there's just no room for them to happen. We barely get to see Superman. Clark's story arc? - how do I be a supportive husband to my wife while she has cancer... Lois' story arc? How do I keep being myself while I try and beat cancer?... the boys story arcs? I'm going to try and be a hero in my own way, while worrying about my mum's cancer.
It's there in every aspect of the plot, and as real and gritty and respectful as it is - cancer simply isnt enjoyable escapism. It's not my happy place. It doesn't inspire my geeky imagination. In fact, there's even been a significant decrease in fanfiction being written about this season - because it's hard to have fun writing fanfiction with cancer looming in the background.
I'm not someone who shys away from this kind of story in general. I watch medical dramas and it doesn't bother me there... because it's in a context I expect it and I choose it when I sit down to watch. I even appreciate dark plots within shows I love that are usually a bit lighter. For example, as a Buffy fan, I really liked season 6. I identified with it as someone who has been through depression and addiction in my life. Hell, one of my favourite episodes, season 5 'The Body' is extremely upsetting - but it was so incredibly beautifully handled that I rate it highly and have re watched multiple times.
But this feels different for so many reasons. It's different to the Buffy episode 'The Body' because it's not just an episode - it's an entire season. It's different to season 6 of Buffy because it's not a supernatural metaphor for real-life experiences... it just IS a real life experience... and one of the hardest ones a family can go through. It's different because it's Superman.
It's different because it's cancer.
Every single episode is about the horrors a family, in particular an incredibly strong career driven mother, experiences as they go through the journey of breast cancer.
Don't get me wrong, there have been some beautiful moments. I love the way Lois and Clark are supporting each other through this, I love the intimacy and tenderness, and love the kids all trying to help in their own ways. But none of that takes away from how hard it is to see Lois suffering in this way, knowing the kinds of much more enjoyable stories we could have had.
I've flip-flopped back and forth in my mind, trying to find a way to love it, because it is being done so well. Because it might raise awareness. Because the writing has been such a vast improvement from last season. And because I hoped there would be a payoff or that it would be over much sooner than I now accept it will be. I've made fan videos and felt connected to the beauty in the story. I've felt good about some episodes and then felt completely deflated by others. It's been a rollercoaster, and at times I have no idea how to handle it.
By the time we got to the opening montage of 3x08, I felt broken. I cannot watch that scene without crying, and it's always the same bit that gets me - Lois in bed writhing in pain. It was the absolute tipping point for me of what I could handle after the previous 7 episodes had already had her going through so much. I keep trying to put my finger on exactly what it is, but all I can identify is that the look on her face, that pure pain that Bitsie is so incredible at portraying, is simply nothing I ever wanted to see happen to my idol. Its way way too real.
And then we had 309 straight after... an episode that on paper really shouldn't work. That talks about the mastectomy many of us hoped was a line they wouldn't cross. And yet it's somehow... beautiful. It's so beautiful it's even rewatchable. I make another fan video. I feel confused all over again. Do I love this show? Or do I hate it? Do I think the cancer story is beautiful or awful? I think that's what's making this even harder. I keep coming back for more because a) im a Superman fan... im kind of all in and b) there is all this love and tenderness that I adore.
I put up with the pain and the trauma of the story because those moments almost feel worth it. But I still grieve the season that could have been. The exciting, fun, joyful experience we could have had.
I know there's been a lot of debate about this, and it seems like it's hard for people to see each other's points of view. I guess i'm making this post because I hope to give a little window into what it's been like for me personally, in the hopes it might help those who ARE enjoying the season to understand that those that are making criticisms are likely struggling as a fan just like me.
My fantasies about what season 3 would be are long gone. And as much as I want to hope there is still room for them in season 4, we don't even know if that's going to happen. The fun, exciting stories that could exist in this universe, might only come to pass in fanfiction now. As the CW continues to leave the show teetering on the bubble, teasing the fans with comments about a cliffhanger that will make people hungry for more... while promising nothing of delivery.
I have no idea how I'll feel at the end of this season. When all of this has consolidated together and we have a full picture of the finished piece. We will have a brief shining moment of Lex for maybe 2 episodes, and that still has the potential to make me squee with delight - but with all the story elements they need to wrap up, will there really be much room for him?
For now i'm just trying to detatch a little from the emotional investment I had. To accept that cancer is the direction they chose and thats never going away. To see that although it is not a story I would have wanted them to tell, and I do feel it has prevented the show from being what I hoped it could be... its not all doom and gloom.
Even though for this fan, and many others, the journey has been and continues to be hard.
*I am a mod, but also a fan. This is simply my personal reflection.

Client is a freelancer or full time employee, who initially took the project to do himself but hired another freelancer due to lack of skills or laziness.
How to identify the red flags and block them?
- has many job posts but zero or very few hires
- will get into a lot of technicality in chat without starting any contract. Basically trying to learn the solution without paying. Block them, because once you simplify the process for them they ll start having second thoughts on sharing money and will try to do it themselves or outsource at much cheaper rates after learning the trick from you.
- since they wasted a lot of clients time trying to do it themselves, deadline is near so they ll ask for quick deliveries. Please be sure to charge them extra for rushing the work.
- is asking you to use specific tools, sometimes it's fine but for me this is a red flag.
- asking to work on screen share in their machine, this is a huge red flag. Basically you are doing the work of a lazy unprofessional employee. People with such poor work ethics reflect this during their communication, releasing payments and reviews.

2023.05.28 12:15 MisterEmbedded My Guide To Get Into Computer Programming
Intro
Hi, I'm AdityaRaj, I'm a 17 Year Old Who Loves Programming, And Here's My Guide To Get Into Computer Programming.
Programming Is Surprisingly Quite Easy Once You Understand Few Basic Stuff, Like Memory, CPU, What Is Actually Happening In The CPU, Etc Etc,
"Crash Course: Computer Science" is a awesome series which taught me
ALOT about computers, and believe me it will make your life easier.
I'm 17 so please go easy on me if there's an error or mistake, i'm learning like you all too! and i would be more than glad if you point out any mistake as it will help everyone who's reading this.
What is Lower & High Level In Computers?
Well Lower & High Level Basically Signifies How Close Something Is To "Bare-Metal" Or How Close Something Is To What The Computers Understand Directly.
The More Lower Level The More That Thing Is Close To What Computers Understand. See Computers Are Literally Just Rocks Made To Do Some Stuff Repeatedly, They Are Like Your Kitty Who Don't Even Understand Basic Maths.
Computers Do 3 Things In Their Entire Life, They Fetch The Instruction They Have To Execute, They Decode The Instruction They Fetched & Then They Execute That Instruction, That's Literally All Your Computer Ever Does, But This Becomes Very Powerful Because Modern Computers Can Do Such Stuff Like 2400000000 Times Every Second, And Gaming Computers Can Do Such Stuff At Like 400,00,00,000 Times Every Second, That's Like 400 Crore Times Every Second.
What Operating System To Choose?
Programming doesn't really depend on Operating System, if you're on windows then it's fine, if you're on mac it's fine, if you're on linux that's perfect.
In my opinion Linux provides you the best environment to develop any kind of software, and it is the recommended OS for writing software.
that doesn't mean you should quit using your existing Operating System, but learning linux will help you alot, there are jobs that specifically hire people who are masters in Linux, not to mention the fact that basically anything can run linux with a HUGE Performance gain.
in starting i will say just use whatever you have but try to learn linux side by side too!
What Programming Language To Choose?
It's Very Important What Programming Language You Choose, It Will Kind Of Decide That What Field In Programming You Will Be Doing.
For example i started with a Programming Language Called "Python", it's simple, very easy to read & understand, and overall easy for an beginner, but Python didn't get me far, with Python I mainly had Data Science Or Artificial Intelligence To Learn, Cause There's Not Really Any Other Thing To Do With Python Other Than Also Writing Small Scripts That Do A Particular Task.
I Later Switched To A Language Called "JavaScript", JavaScript Is Most Common In Web Development, The Websites You Visit, Most Of Them Have Their Logic Written In JavaScript.
JavaScript is comparatively harder than Python, but it's use cases have been just increasing and increasing, JavaScript code can run in your browser, basically 90% of the Reddit is basically just JavaScript code.
JavaScript can run directly in your computer using a runtime called NodeJS or Deno, the Discord Web App, Mobile & Desktop App Is Also Written In Mostly JavaScript.
Using JavaScript You Can Go Into Web Development, Mobile App Development, Desktop App Development.
Now I Actually Went Quite Alot Lower Level...
i learned C, C is a programming language that's 51 years old! basically it was a "revolutionary" language, almost everything you see in the modern world has it's roots to C.
you can basically do anything with C, and this is the language i love alot... people say it's not for beginners but it's not the case really, if you understand how computers work, like even an overview then you won't have much problems in C.
with C you have endless possibilities and not to mention it's one of the fastest programming languages out there. if you want to write efficient, fast software use C.
C++ is also a language which was developed to extend C's capabilities by adding more feature, and C & C++ are often used in the same projects...
Linux Kernel is written in C, your favorite web browser is written in C & C++, Android Phone's App Use Java Which Has It's Roots To C.
In Many Cases C is Also Used With Assembly, assembly is basically a Human readable version of the ACTUAL code that runs on your computers, so it's like the lowest level programming language and FASTEST too.
C++ is used alot in Game Development, games made in Unreal Engine use C++, GTA Vice City was written in C++ too!
swift is a high-level programming language developed by Apple and used for developing software for Apple Products, it's a nice language, and the demand is high too! i can't comment much on the language as i don't have much experience with it, but if you own a Mac, i think Swift is the best thing to get into.
Java is a high-level programming language which runs on more than 1 billion devices, all android phones have it, minecraft uses it. Java is used to develop android apps and it's not that hard as people say it is.
C# is a high-level programming language, this language is often called "Microsoft Java" because this language does everything Java can do maybe a few things more, but all with Microsoft's branding.
no matter how much people may hate or bully this language, this language is very popular among Windows Developers as Microsoft recommends this language to develop Windows Applications.
C# is also used in Game Development, Mainly In Game Engines Like Unity & Godot.
- Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL
these "programming languages" are used to program FPGAs.
FPGA's are one of the amazing stuff in technology. FPGAs are quite complex piece of hardware which you can use to design custom logic circuits.
basically our CPUs are made up of many MANY logic ciruits, these logic circuits determine the behavior of a particular CPU, you can basically create such logic circuits without having to touch a wire, you can program a FPGA to behave that way.
and as complex it sounds, sometimes it's quite more complex than that and requires alot of knowledge about how computers work and what you want the circuit to do.
What Career For What Language?
- The salaries mentioned are per-annum (yearly) and not monthly
- The salaries are what i found online, they may vary.
- The salaries mentioned is what offered in USA, and sadly they are quite low in India. (thanks to u/Accomplished-Toe-479 for mentioning this)
with C & Assembly Under your belt, and an awesome understanding of computers, you can get into a embedded systems job.
this field specializes in writing and optimizing software for computers that aren't your normal PC, Mobile Or Something, these are often very low-powerful computers that are used in stuff like your:
- Digital Camera all those DSLRS and Stuff
- Your Calculators & Your Digital watches
- Your television & your setup-boxes like that tata-sky thing
- or the computers in cars which detect how far the vehicle behind is, or the ECU in the car which decides how much fuel & air goes depending on the temprature load and etc
- or the computers in an Train, like the engine which the train driver drives, or airplanes, all sorts of like passenger or fighter planes
at places like America you can earn like $1,10,269 (₹91,04,337) on AVERAGE, and the job demand is just increasing and increasing.
this field is most common one and the demand is high and the salary is nice too, on average you can earn $82,400 (₹68,03,339).
if you're doing web app, desktop app & mobile app development in JavaScript the figures will be quite same.
your earning alot of times may depend on the platform too, an Android App Developer can earn $126,677 (₹1,04,59,061), but this isn't average you'll need alot of skills to earn this much or else it can go down by quite alot.
if you're an Apple App Developer using Swift language you can earn like on an average $135,804 (₹1,12,12,630) if you have skills.
i don't know much about desktop app developer salaries but you can earn like $84,500 (₹69,76,725) on an average.
game development is a relatively big topic and while there is no answer to how much you can earn as a game developer on an average a video game artist can earn $59,156 (₹48,84,203) and a video game programmer on an average can earn $75,486 (₹62,32,486).
and while the above mentioned figures are for when working for someone, if you decide to make your own team or work solo, the figure can go even higher if you make a game that has a huge return of investment.
in the start i think it's fine to work for someone to get the much needed experience and then you can work on your own game. but solely working on your game can be risky as if the game doesn't perform well you may earn even lower than what you earned by working for someone.
this isn't a guide about getting into game development but if you want to become a video game artist i'd say start with 3D Modelling Skills & Pixel Art, both of them aren't required. a programming language like C++, Java Or C# is required to if you want to program the game too or you can just hire someone or just work with someone you know.
don't know much about this field too but on an average you can earn like $105,000 (₹86,69,304).
this job on an average pays $149,735 (₹1,23,62,840) but it can go upto as much as $192,000 (₹1,58,52,441).
these jobs have HIGH demand but because of the skill-set they require.
What Programming Language/Career you should go into?
i think you the person asking this question has the answer. every language/career has different difficult, adventure, salary and stress, and you should only go into the one in which YOU are interested in.
i want to go into embedded systems because those small computers & programming them is what attracts me, the salary is quite decent too, the stress it gives is almost none since it is what i am interested in.
any idiot can get into programming for the juicy money, but to actually earn what the professionals in this field earn you'll have to be passionate about your field & job.
and not only that but you'll have to get a degree too, because yes you can learn most of the stuff online but colleges, the good ones especially teach alot of stuff that you may not find online and not the mention that actually getting the job will be alot easier since the company knows you studied in the good college thus you have the skill they need.
Resources
here are some resources you might like to get into programming:
Note: the resources above are mostly in english and the resources in other languages have been mentioned with the language they are in.
Outro
that's really all i have to say, feel free to ask me anything you want to, don't feel that you'll sound dumb or something, i was an complete ass in the starting too (i still am xD).
also thanks to everyone appreciating me! lol it's alot to take in.

2023.05.28 12:08 Routine-Education PTSD Supplemental Claim Denied
I would appreciate any advice. I served from June 2017 until Oct 2020. From Fall 2021 to Spring 2023, I attended school to pursue my associate’s degree. During this time, I noticed difficulties in focusing on my full-time school work, as well as anxiety around certain managers I worked under for my part-time job. Seeking help, I visited a clinical psychologist with a PHD and underwent multiple tests for attention-related issues, suspecting adult attention deficit problems. However, it turned out that I did not meet all the requirements for that diagnosis. Instead, I was identified as a prime candidate for PTSD screening. My provider confirmed the diagnosis of PTSD and explained how it contributed to my attention and fear issues related to my time in service.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any evidence from my time in the military. With a goal-oriented mindset, I eagerly awaited the expiration of my contract to return home. I endured a significant amount of hazing from my direct NCOs, trying to keep my head down and move past that chapter. I never thought I was scarred or experienced mental health issues. However, after receiving this diagnosis, it’s disheartening because my initial claim for mental health issues was denied. In March, I submitted a supplemental claim along with my psychological evaluation report. Just yesterday, I received a denial stating there is no evidence linking it to my service.
I would greatly appreciate solid advice on what steps I can take. Currently, it seems my options are initiating a higher-level review with no additional evidence or appealing to a VA judge through a board appeal to present my case with no additional evidence bedsides my testimony.

2023.05.28 11:58 cpgeek just got sick fiber, looking for tiny low-power pfsense router pc with 10g ethernet ports?
So 2 months ago I picked up a
mini router pc (celeron J6413, 8gb of ram, 128gb ssd, 4 intel i226 2.5g ethernet ports) to put pfsense on for use as my home/homelab router as a lower powered (10w) replacement for the old i5-2500 sff desktop machine (about 100w) I was running with a quad gigabit ethernet card. it arrived a month later and I got it all set up and working great (once I figured out that I could plug in a usb gigabit nic to get pfsense 2.6 installed (Which doesn't have i226 drivers) and then get pfsense plus (which does have i226 drivers) set up and then unplug the usb nic and restore my pfsense backup from my other router). HOWEVER, about 2 weeks after I got this set up and working well, I ended up getting frontier fiber installed (currently on the 2g symmetrical plan for the same $100/month I was paying charter for 650/20) but 5g is available), so suddenly I went from needing to route 650/20 to routing 2/2. The new router pc has been working great for that, but I ever want to increase my bandwidth, I'd like to have the option. FURTHER, I'm having difficulties finding an 8+gb 10g network switch (I have 5 computers with onboard 10g base-t including my nas, and a couple of proxmox boxes for homelab (and soon hopefully external services too now that I actually have the bandwidth)). I have found some used 10g enterprise switches which may be an option, but they are 1/10 switches that don't support 2.5g so If i plug in my new router, i'd only be able to do 1g, OR in the case of a managed switch, I could probably do LACP link aggregation (which would max out at 3g total) My ONT has 10g base-t output (nokia xs-010x-q) fwiw.
tl;dr: Ideally, I'd like a tiny low-power router pc like the one I have now that has at least 2 10g port (preferably 10g-base-t, but I suppose I could eat the cost for a couple of 10g base-t sfp+ modules on the router side if I absolutely had to. I THINK the j6413 with 8gb of ram would be up to the job of routing 5g (anyone have guidance?) I suppose at the end of the day, I could go out and try to build myself a small form factor pc from something like a 11th or 12th gen i3 and buy a pfsense-compatible dual 10g base-t pcie nic, but that's gonna way bigger, way noisier, and just more annoying to work with. I'm certainly open to suggestions though. I'm TOTALLY JAZZED about the SICK bandwidth upgrade, but I didn't fully consider the practical implications for putting that bandwidth to work.
and this probably isn't the thread for it, but I *still* can't seem to find myself a 8+ 10g base-t switch (preferably managed but that isn't a huge deal) that isn't either way too loud, doesn't have lots of quality control issues, and can still degrade to 2.5g (and preferably 5g while we're at it) that doesn't cost an arm and a leg (<~$500 for 8, <$600 for 16, <$800 for 24 ports).

2023.05.28 11:46 InDoubtFlatOut As a racetrack instructor, I sit in the passenger seat of unsuspecting drivers every day on the world's most dangerous racetrack
That probably sounds very lurid, but I find it an exciting and great job.For more than 10 years I have been working part-time as an instructor at the Nürburgring and thus drive the legendary Nordschleife, the world's longest and oldest race track, almost every day. I have my own "Ring-Tool", but most of the time I sit next to a driver in his car. The customer provides the cars himself or has rented one from a rental company especially for this purpose. Often these are cars with a lot of power and not infrequently the cars are worth more than our house. The drivers actually come from all over the world and their experience level can be from 0 to very high. Mostly, however, they know nothing at all and just want to go flat out. I started this ama in a German Subreddit in German language and was surprised by the great response. So this might be interesting for a wider audience as well

2023.05.28 11:11 robbjunk9999 Recent (Spring 2023) Delivery Issues?
Anyone else experiencing delivery issues just in the last few weeks (starting Apr-May 2023)? A couple of issues have been rearing their heads:
- Increase in "Your delivery is running late" -- more and more items are scheduled to arrive on X date, but get pushed back.
- Suddenly ignoring closing times. I rent a box at the UPS Store, and get my packages delivered there. In my address book I clearly marked the address as a business, and input the opening/closing days and times in the delivery instructions. It's a busy UPS store, and they're always handling Amazon returns, so in any event you'd think they'd be a regular on the local drivers' routes. Lately I've been getting orders marked as "out for delivery by 10PM," and drivers attempting to deliver packages after the store closes. I call customer service, tell them that the driver needs to deliver the package before the business closes....and nothing happens. Again, it's clearly marked in the address book as a business, and the local drivers *have* to know that it closes at night -- why are they scheduling trying to deliver packages to the UPS store after it's closed?
I've been getting packages delivered to the UPS Store for years, and every other delivery company (USPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.) gets packages there during business hours. Until recently, Amazon was able to handle that as well. It's only in the last month or so that they've had higher and higher frequencies of late deliveries. Amazon used to be the most reliable/quickest service; they're quickly becoming the least reliable. Any inside scoop on why their delivery is falling apart?

2023.05.28 11:06 Trashyjacks Car won’t crank but battery works just fine
I’m a delivery driver I came back from a delivery and not even 10 minutes later when out to turn on my car and it just absolute refused. Didn’t even wanna turn over no crank no click but when I would start it I heard and extremely faint “hissssssssss” nothing else my lights and everything else works electronically in my car. Oils fine and filled up gas is half full no visible leaking besides my car sweating a bit this is huge because I just paid $300 for a wheel bearing in my right tire this car has broken down 8 times in the past year I can’t afford this anymore and I need help this car only needs to last me 3 more weeks until I goto the Air Force. I’ve thought maybe it was the starter, but everything I’ve seen on bad starters it atleast turns over everything was completely fine on my car no lights no nothing, but 10 minutes after I turned it off and walked in the store it just decided to not work anymore. Any ideas on what I can do or what’s wrong so I can act like I know about cars to the mechanic because the last 3 times (before bearings guy) have ripped me off because I don’t know proper pricing for car parts and labor

2023.05.28 11:06 Puzzleheaded-Unit-34 Renting car and driving through Lyft
Hey guys so few days back me and my driver were having a conversation about the pay and everything, he recommend me buying a car in full at once would be the best which I also wanted to.
He said the best option for me is to rent out a car directly from Lyft which he said would be around $300/ week with insurance and everything but in order to make it worth I need to work minimum of 60 hours a week and can easily save up $7000+ in 2 to 3 months (I go to college and need to return back after 3 months).
Do you think this is possible? I live in Tempe area and I’m not sure about this market.
I also have 2 jobs for now and make around $800/ week, any advice would be much appreciated thank you :)

2023.05.28 11:00 Dear_Treacle6882 Too nervous to get back in the driver's seat!
I've been a lurker of this subreddit for ages and it's helped me immensely. I passed my test in September 2022 but sadly I didn't have enough money at the time to buy a car...
Now that I'm in a better job, I have saved over time and I finally do have enough to get my first car! All this time has paid off but now as it's been so long I'm too nervous to get back in the driver's seat.
Has anyone got any suggestions or been through something similar? I don't want to throw away all this hard work, time and energy over nerves

2023.05.28 10:44 potatojam17 Part-time job during clerkship
Hello! I'm an incoming clerk. I worked part time throughout our classroom years and would still like to continue working. Unfortunately, the jobs I had/have now (VA, ghostwriting) get too demanding at times and I don't think I can continue with the load during clerkship. Does anyone have any recommendations and/or leads for a doable part-time job for someone like me? Thank you in advance, docs!!

2023.05.28 10:23 elle-the-unruly Made the stupid mistake of confronting her again.
Sorry this is pretty disjointed but I needed to get it out...
Still living with my mother but close to moving out. Just trying to get my driver's licence first really. (Had to pay for my own lessons because she literally scream the whole time trying to "teach" me) I gave up on driving lessons with my mother, when during our final lesson she basically tried to wrestle control of the steering wheel at one point and yelled at me when I got mad and said what she did was insanely dangerous.
So long story short I just turned 30 and I'm basically finally getting my shit together. Lockdowns really didn't help and I felt like I had to restart my progress (my city locked down for 2 years and I was literally stuck with hardly any other contact then my mother and bpd sis, neither of whom I get along with.)
My bpd sis also cut me off last year because I got vaccinated. She went deep into qanon during it and into extremist christianity.
So today I was getting ready for work, unfortunately I switched to a new place that she has to drive me to, because the other job within walking distance got sold. They set me up with another job that is really quite good, and I enjoy it otherwise. But getting there and back is literal hell despite a 10 miniute drive. The first week she was disturbingly normal about it. Then subsequently she lies in bed until the absolute last possible minute. Complains that she never gets enough sleep despite the fact she literally has 0 responsibilities. She has trouble sleeping because she is often so angry she can't sleep. This has been an issue my whole life. Of course, no one can convince her that lying awake getting more and more frustrated isn't a good cure for that. She won't do anything like read a book or anything to distract her, she will lie awake and rage at anyone who makes a frigging movement in the house. She screamed at me two months ago for going to the kitchen right after I heard her go to the bathroom. She accused me of staying up all night and I screamed at her that I wasn't a kid anymore.
I've been tolerating her rages in the mornings and just grey rocking it, putting headphones in and just trying to drown it out most of the time. But the last few days have been worse then usual. This morning literally I told her that I would be ready to go in a couple of minutes. She storms out and starts screaming "YOU DON'T ORDER ME AROUND I KNOW WHAT FUCKING TIME IT IS"
At first I tried to defuse it by saying I wasn't ordering her around I was literally just explaining I was ready (sometimes she would go start the car before I was then complain about waiting) so I started clarifying when I was actually ready to go. Now I'm horrible for that too. I basically lost it when she doubled down and said that my tone was bad with her constantly. I laughed at first, and then just started raging about how she literally disrespects me on a daily basis and has since I was a child. That if I spoke to her the same way she would not speak to me for weeks (been there and done that) of course she denies everything. She has "no idea what I'm talking about" and she says with great concern "you are so bitter and resentful" as if that's the greatest crime a person can have. Once again. I laugh, probably somewhat maniacally and basically said "that's rich coming from you, you're so endlessly bitter you complain about shit that happened 30 years ago." Then of course she asked me to give examples and I was like "I'm not playing this game, you'll just deny it anyway and I know you know exactly what I'm talking about."
I ripped into her about how I was raised, that she and myt father brought me up in the middle of nowhere, spent all their money on weed and basically refused to work, never did anything to help me live a life. The response she said has basically finished me with her.
"All you had to do with pick up sticks occasionally you didn't have any real chores."
I was basically stunned silent. I'm talking more about the actual verbal abuse and screaming, not what I was made to do, and basically she brings up that I wasn't made to do chores. Which wasn't even true, often I wasn't made to do chores, but then randomly would be thrown into some big project with no fucking help or explanation and then screamed at while she frantically takes over because she's "the only one who fucking does anything around here"
I feel drained, this whole pointless fight made my work day feel endless and it was horrible pretending to be happy at work when I just wanted to cry.
And as usual, she doesn't care. It means nothing to her. She'll pretend like it never happened and basically add it to the list of reasons why I'm horrible. She literally said to me that she wants me to write a list of the "supposed abuse" I'm not playing this game any longer.

2023.05.28 10:00 Puzzleheaded-Way2145 Phone tracking softwares
Phone tracking software is quickly becoming a popular tool for parents, employers, and anyone interested in monitoring the activities of other people. With this technology, it's possible to track the location of a cell phone or any device linked to its GPS receiver. In addition to real-time location data, phone tracking software can provide detailed reports about where and how someone spends their time.
For parents, phone tracking software provides valuable insight into what their children are doing when they're away from home. By keeping tabs on their kids' whereabouts, parents can ensure that they're not getting involved in risky behavior like drinking or drugs. Additionally, if a child goes missing or is abducted by an abductor who has access to a smartphone with GPS enabled on it, having access to this information could prove invaluable in locating them quickly and safely.
Employers also benefit from using phone tracking software as it provides visibility into employee activity while at work or out in the field. This information helps employers make sure employees aren't engaging in behaviors that put company resources at risk such as excessive personal use of company phones during working hours or inappropriate activities during business trips. Having access to comprehensive location data can also help companies optimize routes for delivery drivers and accurately bill clients for travel expenses incurred on behalf of employees.
In addition to providing visibility into users' movements, many services offer additional features like geofencing capabilities which allow users to set up virtual boundaries around designated areas (such as schools) so that notifications are sent when those boundaries are breached — making it easy for parents and employers alike to monitor safety compliance even when they’re not there physically themselves–perfect especially useful during times like summer vacations when kids may be away from home but still need supervision from afar!
Finally another feature worth noting is the ability of some programs (like Spapp Monitoring & Easy Phone Track)to remotely control smartphones–allowing users take screenshots/record videos/mute audio devices etc all without needing physical access! These abilities make these programs especially attractive options for both security personnel & IT technicians who want extra oversight over various mobile operations going on within their organizations!
Overall–phone tracking softwares represent powerful tools that enable users greater transparency & peace-of-mind over their family members&businesses alike! It’s important however;to weigh whether using these apps infringe upon basic privacy laws before implementing them within your organization–so be sure research applicable regulations prior deploying any type solutions!.

2023.05.28 09:28 TeachingDense1278 WFH Job Leads please
I'm John (Filipino) and I was recently terminated from my last job as a sales representative of a BPO company. I need to list the skills I have learned through those 11months in that last company but with that record, I have been declined by a handful of hiring companies due to my termination (I slept in the middle of the shift because I have been lacking sleep for working the 2$/hour WFH Job, no complaints), I just burned out...
I am hanging on, but I am running out of options and leads on where to look for jobs that can help me support myself through college.
Can anyone please help me find a VA Job so that I can continue going to school in the morning and work atleast part time in the evening... maybe land a 5$ per hour WFH job part time so that I can still have ample of sleep for school in the morning...
(update for the post, thank you for the tip) I am from the Philippines for workfromhome skills, I have: *almost three years experience of customer service *two years of inventory management, bulk order processing, and stock management (using shopify and MSexcel) *warm(inbound) and cold(outbound) calling using a company crm *nonvoice customer inquiry service *Ad Hoc
