Sooo I've been umming and erring on posting this one. So I (f26) have been seeing my bf (29m) for about a year. For reference, he had a bit of a tricky upbring. His mum ran off when he was about 6, and then his dad looked after him for a year but was doing such a terrible job. The house was falling apart quite literally as he purchased a cheap 'diy' house, but then didn't do the diy. There were cigarette butts everywhere and my bf looked like he would go into the care system. Agast, his grandparents swooped him to raise him. They did overall a decent job, only they are quite conservative. My bf is quite liberal, although still on a little bit of a learning journey because of it. This is all quite important as because of the way he was raised, he's always felt he owes them, even though it isn't a narrative they have pushed. He worries what would have happened if he ended up in the care system. Because of this, he wanted to wait a little bit extra before I met them, as wanted to show them that this was more than a fling. Fine with me, I've been in no rush. A couple of weeks ago, he mentioned whether I would be interested in coming over for Sunday lunch (this is UK, so it was your standard roast). Me and my bf are really into our gaming and anime, it's how we first met. I'm not really into fashion, or going out. I'm certainly not a girly girl and my wardrobe reflects that. Pumps and trainers instead of heels, bf jumpers that I can snuggle up in, and then just loads of shirts that represent what I am into. Last year in particular we really got into elden ring and my bf bought me an Elden ring t shirt for my birthday which I thought I would wear. So this was one of the first things they saw once I had taken off my jumper. I guess I didn't think much about it because I know I am nice person, and that's what they would want to get to know, not what I was wearing. I thought the lunch went well enough. They were a little cold to me, but I thought that was just because they were protective of him. I went home, but he stayed the night with them. The next day when I went over to his flat, he was struggling to communicate. Finally got it out of him and he said I hadn't made a great impression because of what I was wearing. The t shirt revealed that I do have tattoos on my arms (again more references to gaming) and I also had my piercings in (multiple ear piercings, nothing else). He gently, but firmly, said that I should have worn something a little bit nicer and appropriate for them, and that he had spent all evening trying to convince them that I am a good and wholesome person. But they are really stubborn and stuck in their ways, and their approval means so much to him. He said it's gonna take a long time for them to come round from this. So AITA for wearing what I feel comfortable and presenting myself as me, or should I have worn something more conservative even though I would not be comfortable in it?

Just curious…I rarely lose in Elden Ring Colosseum. Multiple days with 0 deaths @ 125 and 137 meta. Only saying that to state that I know what I’m doing I duels.
New to DS3 pvp…
How are the hit boxes so large? I feel like I’ve moved out of reach of the attack but constantly get hit from what seems like sooooo far away…
Should I never strafe and only roll or is it always a crap shoot when it comes to dark souls pvp?

Hi guys, I have a 3080, i9 10900KF and 32GB 3200Mhz RAM. I've been watching some YouTube videos and the performance that I am getting compared to others with the same Specs is COMPLETELY different. Right now I am in the starting cave on Elden Ring with the Setting on the absolute lowest they can be at 1080p and I am only getting 85-110 FPS. Yet here is a guy on YouTube with maxed out settings, 1440p getting 150+ consistently? Is there a something that could be wrong in the background tanking my performance? I've had the PC now for about a year and a half, it was a prebuild I got from a store and slowly over time I did notice a bit of a drop off in performance but now its at a point where I just don't know wtf is going on, surly in that amount of time it cant be that bad?? Thank you in advanced for anybody that might have a solution!

What is the point? I know it's flashy and a good marketing move like 4k Tvs are. However there's absolutely no point in using these options unless you have a 4090 or something. I am lucky enough to have a nice machine with a 3070 in it and the last two games with raytracing I've tried was Elden Ring and RE4 Remake. They're both terrible. Elden ring almost does nothing with it and cuts my framerate in half. Which I need to play that game at all. And I'm just going through RE4 Remake and any time I try RT at all it crashes my game. What is the point? Future proofing? That's a terrible excuse. What do you think?

Hadn't played in like a month because I kept getting the same rounds over and over and over again. Fired it up tonight and played two single runs. Bobsled race map, follow lines to portal map, hold onto your tail map, sonic rings map, floor breakaway map.
Only thing missing from memory was the rhino map and water map with the one square that you can bounce on over and over and over until all the other dummies have thrown each other off.
Before I took my hiatus people on the sub were saying a bunch of maps were glitched or something... Is that seriously what happened and is somehow STILL happening? Is it an XBox only issue somehow?
Whatever the case may be, it's really frustrating. Not just because I'm one of the people who actually spends money on the game beyond the season pass but because I actually enjoy the game and want to have fun beyond the same 6 map rotation.

So I have a old 1080ti that I got I think back 2017 it cost me ALOT (well a lot for me, it was around $2500-$2600 at that time I think) it runs fine today but is really loud (I think it’s the AIO) but on low/mid setting on all new games. I had a chance to get a 3080 (MSI z trio gaming) prebuilt for about $1500 (Intel i7 12000kf, 16 go of ram, 1 Tb SSD).
 
I’m having a bit of post purchase regret. I play over watch, Elden ring, project diablo 2, and planet side 2. I have cyber punk, red dead redemption, Witcher 3 but haven’t really gotten into them as Elden ring is giving me my rpg fix and the 1080ti runs it just not great. Are there any games coming out this year that the 3080 would be perfect/required for? I like rpgs where I can get lost in the world of character building and exploring. I’ve also been thinking about editing my drone photography and videos.
 
So my question is whether or not I could build the same computer later this year or maybe next year for the same price.
 
Or should I keep it as I’ve been told it’s a fairly solid deal. Is the 3080 build a solid future proof or would I be better off returning it and waiting for GPU prices to come down then building it myself or saving up for a 4080 or 5080 when it comes out.

So the game just updated and I used the new versions of the mods that came out but the seamless coop keeps crashing the game and gives this error message: Locale Path "Seamless Coop/locale" not found which has no fallback! anyonw know what that means?

I’ve already played dark souls, DS2 and Bloodborne,should I play ds3 before Er?

Simply enough, using any infinite yield command causes my PC to crash. More specifically, it shuts off my computer's WiFi connection? The only way I've found to get it back to normal is to MANUALLY shut off my PC and turn it back on.
This is not a performance issue. It runs all other exploits just fine, and can run large games such as Elden Ring and Overwatch easily. Normally I'd play this off as the script being broken/sus, but I've seen videos and posts about using this script and having no issues. So, why do you think I am different?

As of the 1.09 patch, my game will freeze and crash whenever I enter certain parts of the map, tab out of the game and back in, or play for more than like 5 minutes. This never happened in the previous versions and I am sure that my pc can run elden ring just fine, so is this just an issue with the new patch? Or is something wrong with my game/pc?
