I just got my transmission for my 89 chevy Silverado rebuilt I put it in myself but I’m having trouble with leaking it’s leaking fluid from the dipstick my dipstick goes into the pan and when my truck is running it pours out from it I bought a new dipstick tubing but it’s still doing it does anyone have any tips or advice I’d appreciate it

Okay, so it's 2023 and we do have means of living with HIV...but that conversation.
"I'll be undetectable in five months, have unprotected sex and try for a baby."
"All I have to do is take a few pills and nothing will change."
Seriously?
Maybe it's because I grew up in a time where HIV was tantamount to a death sentence, but to be so glib about it, have no emotional impact and to take it so lightly?
Is that really what people do these days?
"Oh, I've got HIV...no biggie."
It's making me wish they'd given him HSV-1 & 2, aka Genital Herpes, because then maybe at least it wouldn't have been skirted over in 30-seconds.

How many reps should I do on lateral raises? Do the good old 8-12 reps work or should I do more cause I heard that for lateral raises you should do light weight high reps.

Hey guys so I need some help.. my 2020 Wrx engine seized only at 26,000 the car is bone stock nothing has ever been touched under the hood besides getting its normal scheduled routine services at the dealership . I bought the car used at 19,000 miles. The car is still under its manufacture warranty and expires in July of this year…. I was at red light about get on the fwy when the engine decided to seize. :/ the car did it get service done 2-3 hours before the car broke down on me I started to think it was something that happened during the service appt.. they ended up giving me a call today to let me know they found some readings on the car.. there was a mis shift that happened at 6,000 miles going 129mph…. This was 20,000 miles ago??? So they are blaming a mis shift on the previous owner years ago. I did get in contact with SOA but they are no help and now that I agreed for the tear down if they don’t find any faulty parts I’m going to be responsible for everything :( any ideas

I’m training for local linehaul, and I’ve been doing a bid with my trainer that takes 11 hours almost exactly. However I have to report for duty at 6am, and they don’t have us log in as on duty until we are ready to leave in the truck, and log off as soon as we get back to the terminal. I technically was only “on duty” for 13.5 hours but I was there ready to work for 1 hour before and after. Meaning I was required to be there for 15 hours. I’m expected to return at the same time tomorrow which leaves me about 3 hours to sleep tonight.
I brought up my concerns and was told that my “mind and body need to adjust to it” and that because I’m running mileage im allowed to be held for an additional 3 hours past my 14 of non driving.
It just seems to me like the 14/10 hour reset rule was created to protect drivers and this is like a clever way to sneak around it that is neither ethical or safe. Thoughts?

Last September, we started shopping around for solar. Ended up going with Tesla despite the horror stories I'd read - I took yall's advice that those horror stories only represented a small percentage of customers. We had a quote from SunRun that was almost double the Tesla quote, and I didn't like how shady so many solar providers seem online and inperson. We felt we would be stupid to not at least try Tesla given the reduced price and the fact they're a huge company.
Here's the rough timeline:
-Place the order from Tesla's website mid-September.
-A few weeks later, a guy from Tesla comes out to survey the house. Basically prodded the breakers and explored the roof.
-Shortly after, we get the install date of mid-December. We are happy and a little skeptical.
-Date postponed by a week because of rain.
-A day or two before the new install date, a guy comes over with a huge truck and pallets of equipment. He rings our doorbell and tells us he was here to drop everything off. We ask if he could put it in our garage instead of our driveway. No problem. Uses the forklift on the back of his truck to lay everything down in our garage.
-Install crew comes on-time. We mostly talk to the two head electricians, but everyone is very professional. We get them pizza the first day and wraps the second. We watch them work for most of the time they are out there, mostly out of curiosity and awe. Real well-oiled machine kind of thing, amazing.
-Electrician accidently drills a hole into an electrical conduit in the wall of our garage. Has to break a little drywall to repair it (a few 4-5 inch holes), but is professional and communicative throughout. Says someone else from Tesla would come to fix the drywall and match the paint.
-Install complete after two days. Electrician guides us through the app setup and how everything works. Leaves the system running for us even though we obviously didn't have PTO (showed us how to not accidently export to grid via app). From that day on, we were capturing energy from the sun!
-Only thing left is to have city/SCE come do the inspection. We kind of jump the gun and call the city to setup an appointment. I forget exactly what happened, but we did have to talk to quite a few people at the city to get them to come out ASAP. Tesla calls us to say that they're trying to setup inspection with city and that it might take a few months. We tell them that we got an appointment for 3 days from now. Tesla is a little surprised, but they go with the date we set. I'm guessing the city kind of blew Tesla off when they called, but was willing to accommodate us, the persistent resident.
-Inspection goes well, and we get PTO early/mid-January!
-After messaging Tesla a few times about fixing the drywall (and almost giving up), they finally tell us that someone is coming over to fix it! This was last week. It took a lot longer than expected, but they fixed the holes in our garage drywall very well.
All in all, a very good experience. I was honestly just hoping that we'd have the install done by this summer. Also glad we got everything done well in advance of the NEM change.
We found Tesla to be very responsive. They didn't always give a detailed response, but we were *never* left hanging (we were left hanging a bit about the drywall). People say that the time between install and PTO is when Tesla drops off the face of the earth, but we didn't experience that. We didn't really have to contact Tesla between install and PTO because we were focused on contacting the city and SCE. That's the one tip I'd leave everyone with - be very persistent after install in contacting the city and your energy company to setup the inspection. Tesla usually sets all that up themselves, but we were able to push things forward a ton by doing it ourselves. I don't know if it's because Tesla is slow at that stage or if the city/energy just drags their feet when Tesla contacts them... just make the calls and get it done yourself. Once we got that early inspection appointment, Tesla was onboard.
The system itself has been great. 14.4kW with 2 Powerwall+'s. No issues whatsoever. So far it seems we got a big enough system, though we'll have to wait till summer when the AC is on to know for sure. In February, we generated 1447kWh and sent 722kWh to the grid, so I think it's looking good!
Funny story: between ordering and the install date, we have a door to door solar guy knock on our door. After mentioning we already signed with Tesla, he asks how much we paid. I tell him, and he immediately drops the salesperson persona. Says something to the effect of "that can't be right", tells me how bad the service is etc., then tells me to contact him when Tesla falls through. It's pretty sweet to look back on that now. I know that might sound like some thathappened story, but I honestly think anyone who has solar salespeople come by their houses regularly will not be surprised.

Hi everyone :)
Background: My girlfriend and I have been dating for 5 months today. She's the best. She's funny, pretty, super smart and very charismatic. I love her so much. We typically communicate very well (or so i though) with eachother and are very straightforward when it comes to discussing our relationship. We are both non-religious and virgins. Neither of us are in a hurry to advance that either.
Situation: Last night I was hit with a few texts that kind of bothered me. Here's the first "i dont like when u help me it pisses me off /lh". /lh is a tone indicator that means "light hearted". We use tone indicators because we both have trouble interpreting texts. Anyway, I didn't understand why I piss her off when I help, so I asked.
"okay anyways the reason i get pissed off when u help me isnt cuz i dont appreciate the help its jus cuz i feel like i should be able to do things on my own like my parents think im so smart and i cant even focus enough on my hw to avoid stupid mistakes. but im sure u already got that. jus clearing it up cuz i get so pissy for no reason and its not ur fault lol" she said. I don't understand this, why does she treat herself like that.
The second text she sent me that night was foreshadowed when she said "I have smth to tell you later tn when I'm comfy and in bed". The text read "my grandma died! like, a while ago! talkin like over a month ago. remember that convo i had w ur mom at the superbowl thing? i was just lying, she was dead already". The convo she was referencing was about what she was doing visiting her grandma. She had told my mom they were visiting her grandma when is reality she had died and they were going up to see her grandpa.
I don't understand why she puts all of this weight on herself. I ask her for help all the time, does she think poorly of me because of that? People get tripped up on math all the time, it doesn't mean you're stupid. She hold herself to such high standards and I see it affect her negatively. It hurts me to see her feeling this way. I want to do all I can to make her feel happy, but she doesn't let me.
How can I help her? I compliment her all the time, I always text her that I love her every night, I take her out when I can, I let myself be vulnerable around her and i let her be vulnerable around me. I'm trying so hard but it just isn't working and it makes me upset.

I live with and manage some heavy mental health stuff and I have been out of counseling for a few years now. While I am pretty functional at this point of my life, I do still collect disability and SSI for it. As stated, I do pretty good at self-care and putting the work in and have done so for a long time. Regular exercise and practice of jiu-jitsu, art projects, eating good, going for walks, knowing my boundaries and learning how and when to say no. I have learned the ins and outs of my disorders. I have managed this without meds for over a decade. I quit them after facing what would ultimately fall under clinical abuse as doctors were not listening to me, and the meds were not helping, yet was being prescribed more and more. At the height of it, 17 daily pills, gained over 150 pounds that too me from 145 to over 300. Took years to lose the weight.
Anyway, there are times I fall short. That is okay. However, it makes me realize that I should explore the options of trying to find another decent counselor and perhaps entertaining a very light medication regiment.
Any local clinics Im looking up seem to have disastrous tales. I know social services have been being gutted, and its a brutal field to work in for a few reasons. If anybody has any good leads, be they public sector like a Best Self type place, or a random private practice that accepts medicaid/medicare, then please let me know.
I live in Allentown but I am capable of driving if need be.

I know that he has color differentiating between the traffic lights and he bought socks that he thought were black but are a medium purple. Id live to surprise him without giving him any hints that im doing it. I've been reading about the protran vs deutran but can't tell which one he is!! I have a question I've been struggling with for years, and it's how to maintain a healthy sleep schedule during ramadan?
This year, I'm finding myself waking up for work to be EXHAUSTED. I'm talking, can't even open my eyes, losing balance, brain fog, can't focus, be super slow in my movements.
I wake up the same hour and have less things to do (no breakfast) yet I'm almost late because I'm so tired it takes forever to prepare.
Waking up for Suhoor destroys my sleep schedule and I try to stay awake just for eating and praying (so I stay up just 20min max), but since I eat and wash up, I'm fully awake by the time I go back to sleep.
And when my alarm rings at 7A.M, it doesn't matter if I got 8hours of sleep, I feel like I haven't sleep ALL NIGHT.
How do you people manage? I never wake up this exhausted and breaking my sleep schedule for even 20 minutes kills my night.
Do you have any tips?

Hello, I just want to get this off my chest because I’m pretty traumatized. I’m not looking for accolades.
I was packing tools to leave for work when I heard some (low volume) shouting from my neighbor’s house. I ignored it for a minute because they often shout at each other. After about a minute, I could hear that he was saying “help me.” I ran over and he was trapped under his car. He had been working under it (without blocks, on a sloped driveway) and it fell on him.
I frantically tried to get him out and saw that his buddy who I guess was “helping” or “watching” was asleep in a truck behind the car he was working on. I shook the guy awake and we tried to lift the car onto the ramps. Car wouldn’t go, keys were in the dead man’s pocket.
I ran back and got a car jack and started lifting it. He had stopped making noise by now. It took forever it seemed to lift it enough. I got it high enough to pull him out. His friend was sobbing off to the side and no help. My wife had been on the phone with emergency services since I ran over and started helping him.
I pulled him out and he was unresponsive. Eyes open, bleeding from the mouth. Dead. I did chest compressions on him for several minutes (felt like 15, I think it was only 5) until the medics arrived. They took him away. I thought he was dead.
My neighbors came over later and told me he was alive. They had checked their camera to see who had pulled him out. Apparently he’s breathing and responsive with nothing more than a few broken ribs.
I don’t feel like a hero. Just traumatized. I keep crying. That was such a terrible thing. I know it’s worse for him, I just feel terrible. Also, I spent most of the day thinking he had died. I was so glad when they gave me the good news.

As part of my morning routine I always put a light layer of sunblock on (necessary where live.) when I spend time with my buns during the day they always try to lick my face/arms where I apply the sunblock. Is it bad for them? Should I be more conscious and make sure I wash it off to hang out with them and reapply it later?

Im 25M and almost 360lbs. For the longest time I’ve wanted to do a diet and get my life on track to live healthier but i can never stick to it. I’ve tried and made progress before but it never lasts. I have what should be the best motivations, that being my beautiful wife and son, and the strong desire to grow and live a long life with them. But those just aren’t strong enough to light that fire in me which I hate. Eating just comes too easy and a lot of the times when im eating, im not even hungry. i don’t know what to do. i eat to the point that i get sick. i want to live a long life and grow old with my wife and I want to see my son grow into an amazing man. I don’t want to die. i just need advice.
