-1. My children [ילדי, YeLahDah-eeY], write I to you [את, ’ehTh (indicator of direct object; no English equivalent)] the words the these to sake you not sin,
and if sins a man, we have to us an advocate [מליץ, MayhLeeYTs] before the father – YayShOo`ah [“Savior”, Jesus] the anointed, the righteous.

-2. And he is atonement [כפרה, KahPahRaH] for our sins,

and not upon our sins only,

-4. The sayer, “I recognize him”,

a worder of falsehood is he,

-14. I wrote to you, children,

and word [of] Gods is realized in your midst,
and you conquer [את, ’ehTh] the evil.
-15. Do not love [את, ’ehTh] the world, nor [אף, ’ahPh] [את, ’ehTh] what that is in [the] world;
man, if he loves [את, ’ehTh] the world, has not within him love of the father.

Such an emphasis is indeed exposed to the modern reproach of a false otherworldliness, and this passage has often been used to fortify such a piety.” (Wilder, 1955, TIB pp. XII 238-239)

-16. For all that is in the world - lust of [תאות, Thah’ahVahTh] fleshes, lust of the eyes, and pride of [וגאות, VeGah’ahVahTh] the possessions [הנכסים, HahNeKhahÇeeYM] - not from the father is it, rather from the world.

It speaks of the ‘seven spirits of deceit’ which are ‘appointed against man’ of which one is the ‘sense of sight from which ariseth desire’ (cf. [compare with] also Ezek. [Ezekiel] 20:7-8). The feasibility of the Jewish author hypothesis is increasingly difficult to defend, while the Christian nature of the book is a given. Scholarship, therefore, focuses on this book as a Christian work, whether or not it has Jewish original (Vorlage).
A copy of the testaments is published in The Lost Books of the Bible and the Forgotten Books of Eden.
The work is divided into twelve books, each purporting to be the last exhortations of one of the twelve titular patriarchs. In each, the patriarch first narrates his own life, focusing on his strengths, virtues, or his sins, using biographical material from both the Hebrew Bible and Jewish tradition. Next he exhorts his listeners to emulate the one and to avoid the other. Most of the books conclude with prophetic visions.
The Testament of Reuben is predominantly concerned with admonishing lust, and the sinfulness of Reuben in his having had sex with Bilhah, a concubine of his father. [Thessalonians] 2:3-4, in the great agent of sacrilege in Mark 13:14 and its parallels, and elsewhere. In our epistle he is identified with the ‘spirit’ of heresy (4:3) or error (4:6) as already come. He has in mind disturbers of the life of the churches generally and pretenders to messiahship or divinity in various parts of the empire. I am posting just to see if anyone has had a different experience

CONS:
Theres like 25 boss models throughout all of the dungeons (why is the tree boss and tomb lord everywhere..)
Some dungeons that have "seals" have a way around the seal just going through the map and you can complete the 2nd objective prior to completing the first leading to you not being able to finish the dungeon when the 2nd objective comes up because the mobs are already dead
You lose Nightmare sigils if you use them and DC or restart the game (one was client update and disconnected, and the 2nd I restarted because I couldn't use any buttons; plz add lost ark reimbursement system for entries)
Some map layouts make the dungeon almost ~30-40 minutes, this is like a league game in length..
Kind of wish the radius bonus for glyphs was a lower level or just the default
Not every legendary power is in the codex of power
Bag space is trash for everything; items, aspects, consumables (why are elixirs and sigils in the same tiny space)
No item crafting? Just the same reroll stat as D3? harvest plz
Why are elixirs just 30 min? If I am having to go slow in Nightmare Sigil I don't want to think about re-upping flask
So I don't mind CC, and I think a lot of the mobs are fine, but those human/cannibal mobs make you CC'ed so frequently (Whatever the mobs are called that kind of look like brol)
Not able to see which Nightmare Sigils you have completed already and the tier you have completed them at before (would like to use for renown)
Helltide mobs don't respawn frequently enough and there aren't many events in them and there just haven't been many other people there
The tutorials don't always come up or they come up at weird times
Tree of Whispers bar is kind of long if you don't do dungeons, I don't always want to spend 30-40 min on a dungeon
tab does not give overlay, I get lost easily and these dungeons are long, plz help
Lagging or rubberbanding when people enter your instance or changing instances
No global chat, or area chat
The Sigil affixes for the lighting statue that follows you & the fire that aoe's, when out of combat are kind of annoying, I wouldn't mind if you just spammed it in combat like the aoe silence (other things need my attention at times)

PROS:
Capstone dungeons & Strongholds are fire
New map layouts, in comparison to D3, I kind of like; it's like exploring something new instead of one path to go down
There are more renown points than needed to max renown
ArmoWeapon fidelity is fire
Gold income/expense (make a 500k-1mil gold per dungeon run from selling rares to vendor); 150k to spend on stuff at the beginning
amount of legendaries/ uniques (you get a unique at the end or during almost every nightmare sigil run)
leeching events at the last second that you just happen to come by
Sigil/map crafting and salvaging
World bosses are interesting
The mini-bosses in the pvp & helltide zones
D4 Necro is cooler than D3 Necro

2023.06.06 18:21 EmotionalShock1325 how to apply foundation/concealer without dry flaky skin showing?

hi! i have super dry skin on my face that periodically gets allergic dermatitis and when it heals i’m left with little flaky patches. they’re invisible when i don’t wear skin makeup and just use moisturizer, but as soon as i put on any pigment BAM i see the dry skin everywhere. because of this i haven’t used foundation, concealer or bb cream in years! :(
i’d like some advice on how to prevent the flaky spots from showing. i like dewy finish, and light coverage since i just wanna kinda dim my easily blushing cheeks for high anxiety things like interviews/meetings. i’d love some product recommendations!
also, what should i be putting under the makeup to prevent the dry skin from showing? i’ve never used a primer or anything so i’m lost lol. 😬 generally my morning routine is wash with water, pat dry, and cerave mineral sunscreen stick.

2023.06.06 18:20 LexicalVagaries Idea to improve Magic Victory and faction identity: Tome Exclusivity and Hybrid Affinity Tomes

So I was posting in another thread when an idea struck me:
What if Tomes were exclusive past Tier 1?
What I mean is that there is only one (or maybe 2, for lower tiers) copy of each Tome of magic. Once a player in a given game selects a tome, it cannot be selected by any other faction in that game. In larger games, more copies could exist of Tier 2 and 3 tomes, but for high-tier tomes, the limit is 1. However, tomes could be traded via diplomacy, or stolen from conquered enemies (maybe not even conquer, perhaps you just need to defeat the leader in a fight to claim a single tome they own). You might even be able to trade specific spells!
What are the implications of this?
Well, firstly, it would make Magic Victory much more difficult to achieve. It might even become the most difficult. Imagine working towards a Chaos magic victory, but an opponent has claimed the Chaos Tome that provide the Heart of Chaos. Now you have to either diplomatically work with that player to obtain the tome, or hunt them down specifically to steal it! There could even be a way to allow allies to build different Magic Victory improvements and share them to achieve it.
Secondly, it would counteract some of the 'samey-ness' that people have posted concerns about, where factions start feeling homogenous. With tomes being limited, players in a given game would be forced to adopt very different tactics from one-another. If you really want a given spell or unit for a synergy or strategy, and you missed out on that tome, you can still trade for the spell!
Thirdly, it might provoke unexpected strategies and playstyles. Circumstances might leave you with tome combinations you might not have preferred, but could lead to novel tactics and synergies. While not ideal, especially for the Roleplaying crowd, I think it would be fun to see.
What about Hybrid Affinity Tomes?
Part and parcel of this idea is the need for even more tomes, which is quite probably in the works already, anyway. Some of these could be Hybrid Affinity tomes, which would need lower-tier tomes of both affinities to be claimable. Possibilities include:
Nature/Materium: Tome of the Rivers/Tome of the High Seas/Tome of the Abyss/Tome of the Sea Witch. These tomes would focus on Water magic, improving embarked units (merfolk transformation?), Cold/Physical damage, and water summons.
Materium/Order: Tome of the TinkeTome of Clockwork/Tome of the Dreadnought/Tome of the Divine Machine. Probably paired with a 'Dreadnought' update. Mechanical soldiers (another transformation?), tanks, firearms, etc.
Astral/Nature: Tome of the Fae/Tome of the Seelie/Tome of the Unseelie/Tome of the Archfae. Tomes would summon fae units, create special 'fae' terrain with unique bonuses, transform units into fae creatures.
Honestly the possibilities are endless. Paired with Tome Exclusivity, these would provide even more interesting and divergent strategies.
This is all just brainstorming and spitballing, but feedback and other ideas would be welcome!

Ok I’m writing this down quickly so I don’t forget, so forgive me if there are any typos. These last few nights I’ve had some strange dreams. The night before last night I had a dream that I was being guided through a forest by a tall lady with purple hair. She took me to an apartment complex that looked like the one I stayed at when I was a kid. Then she took me to my old school, and it looked abandoned but there was one light on upstairs. I remember grabbing her arm because I was scared and She then turned to me and said “don’t be scared, we’ve gone through this forest many times.” All of the sudden, I was trapped in a small room. I tried to turn on the lights, but they wouldn’t turn on. The only light that turned on was a super dim red light.. and then POW! A super big flash of light! And then I woke up. Now here’s the weird part, I felt the presence of my deceased cats (I lost them 6 months ago as of now) but I never actually saw them. I just couldn’t shake the feeling that they were here. It was such a strong feeling that I woke up crying. Dream #2 probably won’t be as detailed because I kinda forgot most of it already.. but this one is directly about Santisima. I was dreaming that I was changing the water on her altar, something I do every day, but this time the water was super cloudy and bubbly. It looked like watered down milk. While I was changing the water, the fire alarm in my house began to go off. I started to panic. But a few seconds later, the alarm shut off. I refilled her water and placed it on her altar and it began bubbling like crazy!! Almost as if it was boiling, but without heat. I remember trying to walk out of my room but I tripped over a metal ladder..? Of all things?? But yeah the dream ended there. I strongly feel like these two dreams might have meanings. All help is appreciated. :)

What is the worst game you ever played, barring these two titles.
I'd honestly say Indiana Jones and the raiders of the lost ark for 2600.
It wasn't until an avgm video that i learned it utilized BOTH controllers, and even after found that out.... it was still just a janky confusing game.

To all the haters, or the red fish memory people, Gyokko had beaten Miuchiro, if it wasn’t for Tokito’s in extremis sacrifice, it was over…
Even though he left the Water Prison, if Gyokko didn’t get HIGHLY disturb by Haganezuka concentration, he would have sense Miuchiro and finished it immediately as well
the only reasons why he lost, is an accumulation of mistakes and luck from Miuchiro
and when he transcended himself with the mark it was all over for obvious reasons

I acknowledge that Reddit is not a substitute for veterinary advice.
The issue happened today at 5 PM. My mallard duck couldn't stand up, and her head was just slightly wobbly after searching trough the mud. This went on for thirty seconds after I gave her water. After that She slowly got up after thirty seconds and proceeded to walk after the duckling(not hers, but it is rescued and she became her New mom)still a little wobbly. It's almost like She lost the ability to balance for a minute. My father says it was something like epilepsy. After two minutes she was perfectly fine like nothing happened. She is three years old, lives with two other ducks and the duckling and a white bunny who is usually the victim of duck harassment. She has two pools(both deep enough to bathe), and a big beautiful garden with lots of grass. She is the only one with the symptoms. The others are fine. This only happened once before one year ago but that time was hailing and she was looking up like it was the end of the world. The current symptoms looked worse. She has an angel wing and not she's not injured. She stopped laying eggs two weeks ago. She gets fed twice, once in the morning and at night. I dont think it's her food since the three of them have been eating the same for the past two years. And the other two would probably have symptoms too. They are happy together and dont hurt each other. They are all mallards. She's been acting normal like Always before the symptoms. And She acts normal right now again. The symptoms came and went. She has never gotten any remedies(im pretty sure that means treatment)before, her food is just casual duck food from our local shop. We havent been to the vet. We have never been because She was fine. She is always kept outside in the garden, and at night She gets put into a smaller part of the garden.
What could this be?

2023.06.06 18:06 action_lawyer_comics Anything that's both cozy and also strange/surreal? Maybe less Alice in Wonderland and more Twin Peaks without the murder and implied exploitation of young women

Pretty much title. Also apologies if I misunderstood Twin Peaks, I only watched the first four episodes or so. I want something with a bit of a "fish out of water" and "is this really happening" vibe where someone comes to someplace new with a lot of bizarre people and/or happenings but everyone seems to think it's normal. Stuff like the woman who carries around and talks to the log in Twin Peaks. I want the main character to be lost and questioning their own sanity, but without the life-or-death stakes those stories usually have. And I'd love for the protagonist to be unraveling some dark and terrible secret the town has been hiding for centuries, but for that secret to not really be all that terrible.
I wouldn't mind something similar to Alice in Wonderland either, but I would really like something where the character explores a small town in full and comes back to the same places and people, rather than the "that was weird, on to the next encounter" that Wonderland has.
Closest I can think of is Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. Although even though they're exploring Other London, it still has more of an Alice in Wonderland vibe since they don't return to too many places.

Create an evacuation plan that includes:

A designated emergency meeting location outside the fire or hazard area. This is critical to determine who has safely evacuated from the affected area.
Several different escape routes from your home and community. Practice these often so everyone in your family is familiar in case of emergency.
Have an evacuation plan for pets and large animals such as horses and other livestock.
A Family Communication Plan that designates an out-of-area friend or relative as a point of contact to act as a single source of communication among family members in case of separation. (It is easier to call or message one person and let them contact others than to try and call everyone when phone, cell, and internet systems can be overloaded or limited during a disaster.)

Be Prepared:

Last day we see here some posts about problems to find alligator after shot, while he went into water.Of course almost all answers are like 'it's gone', 'alligator hunt is hard because they have to be gone in water', 'sometimes they come up'.
Guys. STOP.
For example yesterday - I wrote to the guy witht that kind of problem (here on reddit), he should show me where he killed it and I can answer him or it is gone or not. We did some info exchange and you know what? I told him it should be not gone and gave him few probable spots where it can be.
HE FOUND IT - despite all these responds 'its part of hard alligator hunt. It's gone'.

Now to the point!
We all know stories about alligators lost under water, which really happend, what creates a spooky legend "alligator hunt is so hard because they are gone under water". Yes, technically it is possible to lost them under water because this is how the game is designed, how alligators "dive and hide" mechanic is designed. However there is a huge BUT.
My beginnig of alligator hunting was hard as spooky legend says - losing gators under water, must hit neck or head. I was trying, exploring, taking that pain, taking my lessons, analysing and planing how to make things just easier. After some time I got all pieces together and got a new concept how to try hunting them and not to lose them under water.
Now, when I'm absolute in love of grinding them, after over 1700 kills, I have a lot of arguments and final conclusions, which can denify a lot of problems and mistakes of most of players trying hunt gators. The same mistakes and problems with I had to deal and which I did. There was no easy way out on beginnig.
It can be unpopular opinion, annoying one, making some ppl salty, but we have to say it loud - losing alligators under water is mainly an effect of bad shot placement. I don't care what kind of shot - gator hunt don't tolerate bad shots. Bad head or neck shot which don't instant kills is bad shot, bad shot at lungs, which ends in leg or not in lungs is mess. If you can't take perfect shot on gator, you are taking NO SHOT - that's all. Your job is to make everything to get to place and time for perfect shot. End of story.
Of course we can blame the game about allowing that kind of problem. So of course, reason is not bad shot, reason is, because gators can be gone under water, right? Just let us hit them like we want, no matter good or not, let us make them complete mess and please give me my gator from water back.. Is this the way?
This game mechanic should be not working like that but even if it is what it is there is possibility to hunt them efficient with fun and with no problems. And this mechanic makes gator hunt 'easy to start but hard to master' and gators as animal 'easy to hit but hard to get'. Which is something special in COTW. It is absloute another level and world of hunting compare to white tails or any other ground animal.
As I wrote - I killed over 1700 gators. My way is to (only) lung shots. In my opinion neck and head shooting is only a space for making huge mistakes (specially on very long ranges), letting them reach the water and losing them there. Because WOUNDED AND SLOW DYING ALLIGATOR WILL BE ALMOST ALWAYS A UNDER WATER LOST ALLIGATOR. But - perfect hitted gator is not a lost one. The reason is here how deep are waters on hunting spots. If they have to much time to dive and reaching the deepest spots, they will be gone - that's the reason why bad shots giving them time to dive that deep (more details in my YT video).
Now, why am I mentoning my number of kills? Because I let all alligators run in water! I even want them run in water to easier collecting them! I have absolutely no stress about gator in water. So far I lost ONLY 45 (saying my newest notes) gators under water. 10 of them because I really lost them even with beeing sure spot is safe or low risk. But just think about it - 10 of 1700. It is marginal.
35 of them were lost because I was lazy - there were just bad shots or I just could do more to avoid their reaching the very worst spots. For example - in near of 'black hole' spot I could take (last chance solution) neck shot or just make more effort for double lungs. But no - I was lazy and took bad shot and I was not angry or suprised it was lost. Or I just kill them 'anyhow' - you know, grinding right on some days.
So, after all that kills and taking gators from water (aside some hundreds killed on ground on short ranges) I got some experiences where you can lose gator under water and where not. And I give you here pure knowledge on a plate to stop talking all over "yOu haVe tO lOsT gaToR unDEr WaTeR". Because you don't have. If there is a solution to do something easier - use it, try it. There is way to not losing gators under water, or even to kill 6 of them in 60 seconds (on the ground).
KEEP in mind - this map will be working like that only if gator dies(!) in the marked point after a one perfect vital shot. Hurting them, messing them up, machine gunning them will not making this map works. And I'm thinking about guns with class 4-8 ammo and 4-9 ammo like M1 or zarza .308. (in case someone is planning to rush gators with ranger or solokhin - no, it will not work). Again -> this is about where gator has to die, not where he should get shot.
The colours of spots*:

Green (safe) - literally no risk.
Blue (low risk) - Im taking them as safe but there are sometimes somewhere deepness under water, which can be hit very rare
Yellow (risk) - every time I'm shooting there I'm still thinking I will get my gator, but a lost can happen here. I would be nervous about hitting diamond there.
Red (high risk) - you will lost there more than get to harvest
Black - you will never pull something out from black hole *green (like lost 1 of 200), blue (1 of 80), yellow (1 of 30), red (11 of 20), black almost ALL.

2023.06.06 17:47 Firm_Presentation217 Stuck on Inquisition/Blood Brothers quest

I used holy water that i got from Henricus for blood brothers quest to make garlic bread and now I can't buy any more holy water. Henricus says I need to become exorcist rank to purchase holy water but despite the quest log saying my rank is exorcist Henricus says I need to raise my ranks. I can't find any information on the wiki or google on how to get holy water in some other way and without it I cannot progress in either Inquisition or Blood Brothers quest.
Let me know if I am missing something or if I need to contact support or something.

Henricus: Well, if you lost your vial of holy water, you may purchase another one from me by asking me for a trade. However only after you became an Exorcist in our ranks.

2023.06.06 17:41 berdel__ Gator under water MAP - where to lose it and where not.

We all know stories about alligators lost under water, which really happend, what creates a spooky legend "alligator hunt is so hard because they are gone under water". Yes, technically it is possible to lost them under water because this is how the game is designed, how alligators "dive and hide" mechanic is designed. However there is a huge BUT.
My beginnig of alligator grind was hard as spooky legend says - losing gators under water, must hit neck or head. I was trying, exploring, taking that pain, taking my lessons, analysing and planing how to make things just easier. After some time I got all pieces together and got a new concept how to try grinding them and not to lose them under water.
Now, when I'm absolute in love od grinding them, after over 1700 kills, I have a lot of arguments and final conclusions, which can denify a lot of problems and mistakes of most of players trying hunt gators. The same mistakes and problems with I had to deal and which I did. There was no easy way out on beginnig.
It can be unpopular opinion, annoying one, making some ppl salty, but we have to say it loud - losing alligators under water is mainly an effect of bad shot placement. I don't care what kind of shot - gator hunt don't tolerate bad shots. Bad head or neck shot which don't instant kills is bad shot, bad shot at lungs, which ends in leg or not in lungs is mess. If you can't take perfect shot on gator, you are taking NO SHOT - that's all. Your job is to make everything to get to place and time for perfect shot. End of story.
Of course we can blame the game about allowing that kind of problem. So of course, reason is not bad shot, reason is, because gators can be gone under water, right? Just let us hit them like we want, no matter good or not, let us make them complete mess and please give me my gator from water back.. Is this the way? This game mechanic should be not working like that but even if it is what it is there is possibility to hunt them efficient with fun and with no problems. And this mechanic makes gator hunt 'easy to start but hard to master' and gators as animal 'easy to hit but hard to get'. Which is something special in COTW. It is absloute another level and world of hunting compare to white tails or any other ground animal.
As I wrote - I killed over 1700 gators. My way is to (only) lung shots. In my opinion neck and head shooting is only a space for making huge mistakes (specially on very long ranges), letting them reach the water and losing them there. Because WOUNDED AND SLOW DYING ALLIGATOR WILL BE ALMOST ALWAYS A UNDER WATER LOST ALLIGATOR. But - perfect hitted gator is not a lost one. The reason is here how deep are waters on hunting spots. If they have to much time to dive and reaching the deepest spots, they will be gone - that's the reason why bad shots giving them time to dive that deep (more details in my YT video).
Now, why am I mentoning my number of kills? Because I let all alligators run in water! I even want them run in water to easier collecting them! I have absolutely no stress about gator in water. So far I lost ONLY 45 (saying my newest notes) gators under water. 10 of them because I really lost them even with beeing sure spot is safe or low risk. But just think about it - 10 of 1700. It is marginal.
35 of them were lost because I was lazy - there were just bad shots or I just could do more to avoid their reaching the very worst spots. For example - in near of 'black hole' spot I could take (last chance solution) neck shot or just make more effort for double lungs. But no - I was lazy and took bad shot and I was not angry or suprised it was lost. Or I just kill them 'anyhow' - you know, grinding right on some days.
So, after all that kills and taking gators from water (aside some hundreds killed on ground on short ranges) I got some experiences where you can lose gator under water and where not. And I give you that knowledge on a plate to stop talking all over "yOu haVe tO lOsT gaToR unDEr WaTeR". Because you don't have.
KEEP in mind - this map will be working like that only if gator dies in the marked point after a one perfect vital shot. Hurting them, messing them up, machine gunning them will not making this map works. And I'm thinking about guns with class 4-8 ammo and 4-9 ammo like M1 or zarza .308. (in case someone is planning to rush gators with ranger or solokhin - no, it will not work)
The colours of spots*:

Green (safe) - literally no risk.
Blue (low risk) - Im taking them as safe but there are sometimes somewhere deepness under water, which can be hit very rare
Yellow (risk) - every time I'm shooting there I'm still thinking I will get my gator, but a lost can happen here. I would be nervous about hitting diamond there.
Red (high risk) - you will lost there more than get to harvest
Black - you will never pull something out from black hole *green (like lost 1 of 200), blue (1 of 80), yellow (1 of 30), red (11 of 20), black almost ALL.

One of my best friends tried to rape me when we were drinking one night. I tried to leave, but the attempted rapist took my shoes and continued to try and assault me. I was about to take some other shoes that were way too big, and my other friend convinced me to stay in his room for the night. My friend got my shoes in the morning and I went home. I told a handful of close friends, more as a warning.
A few weeks later, the attempted rapist got back together with his ex-gf. I was conflicted, but I wrote her an email and hit send. I didn't want her to go through what I went through. She accused me of lying and thought I was jealous of their relationship. She left him for other reasons weeks later.
This same attempted rapist then started to date another good friend of mine. My mind was blown, because this friend knew (about the attempted rape) already, and either didn't believe me or didn't care, and continued to date him. I still had a tiny semblance of self worth and cut off contact with all of them, but continued to drink too much.
One particular morning, I woke up to a friend of a friend on top of me. Still drunk, I couldn't move because he was holding my arms down at my sides.
At this point, I had already learned that telling anyone was a waste of time. There were 4 other half awake adults in that room that could have stopped it, but no one bothered to.
After that, I drank so much, that I briefly forgot about the whole world. A few weeks went by, and I don't remember much other than vomiting and bruises. Then, my lovely empathetic best friend told me that my drinking problem was ruining their good time.
Not long after, I got really drunk and everyone else passed out. I left my friend's place and tried to grab a cab. A guy across the street called me and said that we could share his cab.
I could barely walk, but I got in the cab. This guy told me that he just needed to stop at home, but he was going to make sure that I got home.
The next thing I remember, is being wedged between two guys in the back of the cab. The cab stopped and I got out, thinking I was at home. I didn't recognize anything and the cab drove away. The two guys pulled me into a house, and got me water. They said another cab was coming. I tried to stay awake, but I fell asleep on a couch.
I woke up, and I was being gangraped. I passed out again. More bruises.
I gave up on life. I didn't have much of a life left anyway, but I have felt dead, and at the same time deserving of what happened to me. I was fucking stupid and could have prevented it.
This led to... you guessed it! More drinking. I lost count of how many times I woke up and had to search for articles of clothing. I met up with guys I met online and got wasted. When I woke up, I would tell myself that I shouldn't have drank so much if I didn't want to wake up with a black eye and bruises on my thighs.
I often feel like I was born to be a victim.

2023.06.06 17:32 slipperyjoel Laying workers fixed themselves but now seem aggressive

So basically back in March I split my one hive into two to avoid swarming. The new hive is doing great and hit the ground running. The original hive seemed to be struggling a bit so we opened it up and discovered we had a laying worker situation. When we split we were able to find the queen and verified she did not move to the new hive so my assumption is she either still swarmed with some of the hive but I doubt that because they had just lost so many bees and resources due to the split or she absconded or just simply died. Once we opened it a few weeks after the split we found the laying worker situation but also found, I assume, a new queen who just hadn't mated yet because the queen door wasn't opened (we have apimaye hives). We didn't have the resources to fix the laying worker situation so we basically just left it to see if it would right itself and it seemingly has somehow. I assume this new queen was able to go mate and then started laying again because the population has been slowly coming back up. However, now the bees seem aggressive. I was cutting the grass around the hives as I have dozens of times before with no issue and got swarmed a bit by them and stung twice. I chalked it up to them just really not liking the mower so lesson learned. But then my wife went to that part of the property to feed our pigs (their pen is right near the hives) and she got stung twice without even getting near them. Currently my hypotheses are that either the new queen mated with an aggressive breed and now the new hive has those aggressive traits. We're in the Southeast though and Africanized bees are not common down here so I feel like that's not the case. My other thought is that this hive collapsed due to the laying workers and very soon there after a swarm showed up and took over the hive and those bees are aggressive. Has anyone dealt with a situation similar to this? The bees have never been even the slightest bit aggressive in the past so its all very surprising to us. I usually would fill their top feeders with sugar water without a suit on because they never seemed bothered but now I feel like I cant even go near them without getting stung. It could also be resource scarcity but we've had a nice spring around here with tons of nectar flow. I've yet to open the hive since the last time discovering the laying worker situation so I can't confirm if that's whats happening or not. Any ideas and opinions are appreciated!
