Hello,
we‘re visiting Iceland in the end of June. We are 4 people and i am not sure if we would be better off with 2 smalls cars instead of 1 big car. Especially because we have 4 suitcases and 4 backpacks. We will be in Iceland for 12 nights. What do you think? We mainly stay on the ring road and visit all the beautiful scenery around there.

Just wondering if anyone else has these issues too, I’ve noticed it in Ghost of Tsushima, Elden Ring, The Surge and now Forgotten City. All PS5 version except Surge.
The issue occurs mainly when approaching a new ‘area’ or when moving the camera quickly. Tends to be happen on doors, archways, windows. Almost as if the visual can’t be loaded instantly. Is that normal?
Sounds trivial but it’s noticeable and breaks immersion somewhat. Don’t know if I’m expecting too much from modern day gaming but it’s bugging me.
Doesn’t happen in GoW:R so I’m guessing it’s something to do with more expansive open world games?

Hi all, I live with my bf and we discuss money/ future goals often. We agreed I would pay off my student loans 27k for the next year. In the meantime I throw him money for groceries. He refused to take rent money from me despite me offering since my name is not on the house.He did mention he wants to have his car paid off before saving for a ring. (His money is tight between the house and his car payment.). Should I help him pay his car off so our future will be better together? I'm cautious about doing so since my name is not on the car and in prior relationships I was used for money. I suggested an alternative of both of us getting side jobs so we can work towards a better future money wise together. Thoughts?

Hello, We are stuck on where to go next. Our new mortgage servicer refuses to issue us a 1098 form. I have been back and forth with them a number of times so far and have even contacted the IRS taxpayer advocate for advice. Their reasoning is because its in a trust.
The house was put into "this is key" a revocable trust Not a irrevocable trust. This was done in 2015 and was done to avoid probate court as my wife bought the house before we were married.
The current servicer is PHH mortgage based in NJ. They refuse to generate the 1098 form because on the 1098 form its states that they don't have to issue one because its in a trust. they actually quoted the paragraph directly from the form. below.

If you actually read the IRS documentation below a revocable trust isn't recognized as a trust as defined in the info on the 1098 instruction page. So I can see where they are coming from, but its wrong. The trust documentation has a SS number not an EIN number. The previous two servicers generated 1098 form as well as 1099 INT forms ever year. PHH even generated a 1099 INT for this year as well. Hell they even generated a 1098 last year.

The taxpayer advocate said they don't have instructions for forcing a servicer to produce a 1098 as they do for W2 forms so they told us to estimate and save the mortgage statements in case of audit. I suspect we will eventually because there will be no matching 1098 on file with the IRS and we are clamming the mortgage interest as a deduction.
So as I understand this, a revocable trust is a grantors trust so the 1098 must be generated as the guarantor is responsible for all taxes? Do we have any avenue to force the issue further?

I deleted all our photos and videos the day of the breakup and got rid of everything she'd ever given me on the day of the breakup as well. Oh my goodness guys, I’m screaming. I finally slayed the 65 dragon after 3 prior devastating attempts. Here’s what worked for me/what didn’t.
Few things right off the top: I am a 27 year old financial planner with ADHD and HORRIBLE test anxiety. I work for a firm that recently converted to an RIA, and they decided to require this shortly after I started until you got your CFP. I have a masters in personal financial planning and a masters in business administration. Over the past year and a half (yeah I know) I have: gone on vacation, gotten married, honeymooned, got my appendix removed, got Covid, had a bunch of personal deaths AND got a very poorly behaved puppy. So that’s why this is SUCH a stretched out process.
Attempt 1: October 2021. Work bought us Kaplan textbooks and the premium study system. I said to myself, “self, you have a masters in financial planning AND and MBA, this test is nothing”, I skimmed a few guides, walked in, and BOMBED. 52%
Study method? 0/10
Attempt 2: January 2022: okay, last plan didn’t work. I’ll take a week off work, read the Kaplan book and do practice questions. Cool. This is when the ADHD kicked in and said “that books dumb” and I only really got through section 1. I also bought Test Geek’s videos, which I enjoyed, but felt the practice test was way easier than the exam I remembered. I did some Kaplan practice questions, but only the chapter benchmarks, and still didn’t think they were super valuable (despite what literally everyone told me). Had a nervous breakdown the morning of because I knew I wasn’t prepared, and BOMBED. 60%
Study method? 2/10 my heart was in the right place and Test Geek helped me understand a lot of the key concepts I was missing, but not the little dumb details.
Attempt 3: July 2022. okay, now it’s getting personal. Just got married, back from the honeymoon, let’s do it. In fact, I’ll completely reset my Kaplan program so all my stats and such are new. I read the book, take a ton of notes and drew diagrams and all that, still not doing many questions though. I’d do the ones in the textbook, do the occasional qbank on chapters I didn’t understand. However, I also panic purchased Pass Perfect and STC. I ended up barely touching them, so a pure waste of money. Had a smaller but still ugly panic attack that morning, went in, mind go blank, got a 64%.
Study method? 5/10 I call this my first “true attempt”, where I studied but definitely not how I should have. I was thinking my lack of reading was the issue, and it was, but I also was studying to try and understand concepts, rather than studying for the 65.
FINAL ATTEMPT: 3/20/2022 I had my 6 month block, which was what I needed. I purchased the Kaplan Live Video class with an incredible teacher, Mr. David Cavaliere. If anyone is struggling with the 65, don’t wait like I did, find a class. It was 3 hours a night, 2 days a week for 4 weeks in January. After the class was done, I still felt like I couldn’t answer the questions on the test screen. I could get the concepts, but when my eyes hit the screen it was all another language. I decided to try Achievable as well, I went through and read their “textbook” and did a lot of their questions. My brain LOVED this textbook. It was a lot simpler, less daunting, and could be consumed in like 20-30 min sessions. I also realized I SUCKED at reading questions, and typically skipped a lot of the “is not/false/except” words. A week before, I did as many Kaplan questions I could a day. I also found the incredible Mr. Dean Tinney. I watched a lot of his videos, especially the test explications, and that was the kick in the ass I needed. I started a Google doc where I took notes on the question, what was being asked, and why answers were right or wrong. I ended up doing this with my Kaplan Q Bank too, and created a weird little book of more or less “1000 facts found on the series 65”. Instead of trying to connect every dot, I realized once I saw a question and it’s explanation, I typically would recognize it again and get it right. This also help with the ADHD, as it was nuggets of wisdom rather than an 800 page book. So I did as many questions as I could get my hands on (not a worry with the QBank!) and wrote as many like 1-5 sentence tidbits as I could. I bolded key words or concepts so it would be obvious that we were being asked about THAT thing.
Morning of, my wonderful husband made me a protein filled breakfast, I watched the last 30 min of Dean Tinney’s Mutual Fund, read my list of answer explanations, reviewed the 4 info dump sheets from Achievable, and went to the exam. Only cried a little bit this time 😅
During the exam, I read each question 3 times and used one of my note sheets to cover answers so I could stop myself from going too fast. It took me about 2 hrs 45 min, and I took a bathroom break after 70 questions to clear my head as I felt the anxiety coming on.
Study method: 8/10, which I had started Kaplan Q Banks sooner, I was getting 70s which did not spark confidence.
I saw a lot of questions about puts/calls (4-5, especially like “what was the gain/loss”), 2 about solicitors and a few advertising, two about joint in entirety back to back which made me laugh, most registration questions were about IARs, only maybe 3-4 math questions (ROR!), there were just as many point and clicks as there were head scratchers for me, I had 36 flagged for review which seemed like a cruel joke.

Here is a story of the struggle I have been having with my first Sunken Crypt.
I was at the point where I upgraded my troll armor, beat the Elder, beaten a few mobs with ease while walking through the swamp and even killed an abomination. I felt confident when I encountered my first Sunken Crypt. I took necessary precautions by making poison resistance potions, made a portal at a safe location not too far and only took the required gear and my crypt key.
My shock when I get in only to be directly welcomed by two blobs, a draugr and an archer draugr in the first room. Needless to say I got killed before even knowing what hit me. I was devastated by the thought that I would have to beat the Elder again to get a Crypt key to get back in to get my stuff back (first mistake).
I proceed to go without a care in the world for my second Elder fight just a bow a bunch of fire arrows and a full stomach with my portal not too far as I knew I would be making a few runs. The difference this time is that I not only had to fight the Elder but a troll decided to join the party making the fight a real challenge which I think lasted a good 45 minutes.
With a new key, I was ready for a corps run (I did equip a shield and a mace for basic protection) just to get my old gear and regroupe. That's when I realized that once you open a crypt, it stays open and I wasted all that time getting a second key for nothing. I was able to quickly get my gear back and even killed a blob before leaving.
Once being ready for my full second clear attempt of the crypt I went back in, killed the second blob and then both draugr while staying on the podium so they can't get me and then more and more draugr just keep coming at me non stop. I honestly thought I was killing all the mobs of the dongeon (second mistake). Little did I know there was a body pile in the room just to my left. It took me 30/45 min to realize this fact and a few more deaths to destroy the spawner and the remaining mobs.
I have now gotten my first scrap Iron and can finally try and move on to the Iron age. Wish me luck fellow vikings as I experience more of how unforgiving this game can be.

Hello and welcome to the Cold War Naval Events Squadron. Below you will find information discussing what we do and how we do it.

WHO WE ARE
​
We are a brand new DCS unit that hosts casual yet challenging PvE naval events and campaigns, all taking place during the height of the Cold War, as modern technology struggles to keep up with opposing forces.
​
To further simulate these time periods, all of our missions are limited to two squadrons accompanied by two iconic platforms; VF-31 Tomcatters flying F-14A Tomcats and VFA-132 Privateers flying F/A-18C Hornets as stand-in A models, with each mission requiring close coordination as each squadron performs their tasks with primitive yet deadly weapons.

WHAT WE DO AND WHEN WE DO IT

Future operations will include weekly operations and events ranging from casual single missions to expansive and challenging PvE campaigns. All weekly operations will be hosted on Saturdays or Thursdays at 1400 MST. Anyone is welcome to join as long as they are willing to download the required assets and own one of the two required modules. *Times may slightly vary*

STRUCTURE
​
Due to the nature of our squadron, training and advancement is not a key factor. All related activities are done on one's own time. Our only included leadership and advancement process is documented through attendance. The more you show up to events, the more trust and roles you gain.
