Yesterday I learned Vorkath
2023.03.20 15:56 qurgx Yesterday I learned Vorkath
| Firstly i will say that this is a post mainly for my fellow self confessed noobs. The type that may have celebrated our first fire cape in the not so distant past. Recently, rather than the comfort of mindless clicking that OSRS brings me, I decided to challenge myself to complete DS2. My skills had been hovering near the min requirements for a while so a short stint of mining and blast furnace, and i was ready to go. I mainly do ranged and slayer and short of having a spare 50m for Armadyl, an Ava's assembler seemed like my next upgrade to aim for. So away I went starting DS2. As with everything new to me on here, the wiki was priceless along with questhelper on runelite. For reference, I'm high 90s cb with 88 range. The quest itself wasn't too difficult. The availability of checkpoints and knowing where these were was great. After watching this guide a couple of times i had my first crack at Vorkath. https://youtu.be/NEXxeiYkU8g Quest Vorkath was easy. Galvek killed me a couple of times. A combination of firebomb and wave making me flap like my first time jad prayer switch. Vorkath proper is a bit of a steeper learning curve and I guess I've died around 10 or so times. However with no inventory/prayer switching, I find it much easier than I did Jad. Paying 100k smarts a bit after a couple of silly deaths but it's so much quicker to learn than Jad because you don't have an hour of waves to get trough just to attempt 1 prayer flick. Before this, the closest I'd got to any bossing was barrows, hespori, obor, bryophyta, skotizo etc so this is quite a step up for me. Now I'm here with my god D'hide, dragon crossbow and newly acquired assembler, fumbling my way through kills and quite often finding a 2 kill trip. The point of all this waffle? I'd written off a lot of content that I'd never be able to do. I'm a casual player that probably averages less than 1 hour per day play time. I'd looked at zulrah and that just seems needlessly complicated with all the different phases. By comparison I found Vorkath very accessible with a decent learning curve so I'd recommend anyone finding themselves in a similar position to give it a go! submitted by qurgx to 2007scape [link] [comments] |

2023.01.30 15:47 Baby_Foxie Easiest bond ever!
| So i'm currently f2p, I don't play consistently. My account got hacked awhile back and I lost basically everything. I decided I'd just rebuild from nothing, and so I've played on and off since then. Recently I felt like playing again and decided to try collecting mossy keys while grinding combat stats to get some extra money, after watching this video. After a few hours grinding in the wilderness I got my first 5 keys and decided to fight Bryophyta for the first time. The first 2 kills were underwhelming, only getting 1 rune item each worth about 20k, after seeing each kill was worth an average of 70k. On my third attempt, Bryophyta's essence drops, 1/118 chance according to osrs wiki. I'm so happy, it's not often I get so lucky lol https://preview.redd.it/c0rc4mcc17fa1.png?width=518&format=png&auto=webp&s=fe119412e79cccb79ee635a68ac08331d5160097 submitted by Baby_Foxie to 2007scape [link] [comments] |
2023.01.06 15:18 Overity Recently returned, might have maxed out fun in F2P?
Hi all. I played OSRS a lot when I was younger, randomly booted it up around Christmas again, F2P acc of course, never been a member.
I'm having fun, just finished all the quests, and I maxed out skills as much as I could while keeping it interesting.
537 total with 1,3M xp, just under 4 days in-game time. Have around 5M in the bank (mining, crafting, HA), at first I thought I would HA for a bond but on second thought I'd just end up in members with 0 gold...
I fought Obor 7-8 times, did few runs in wilderness just for the fun of it, didn't grind ogresses and unfo never got Bryophyta key. In general I tried to avoid passive stuff, but money making in F2P is usually just HA so I've been doing that for the past few days, and it's not fun. I think the only thing left to do in F2P is Bryophyta, get a skull sceptre and by that get few more combat levels up I guess.
Issue I'm having is that P2P is huge and overwhelming. I used the wiki a lot so far and I'll be able to get a more structured approach no doubt, and there's a lot of minigames, bosses and overall stuff to do. All skills are easier to grind in members, have few questlines shortlisted already. Fairytales 1, Waterfall, Guthix, Dig Site, Witches House + agility -> farming -> construction.
My question is if I missed anything that's smart to do in F2P before I test out a month of members?

2022.12.16 21:11 VoluptuousPotato Skill Idea: Influence
INTRODUCTION
Hello 2007Scape, I have played Runescape in both OSRS and RS3 for multiple years and I always thought about what would be a great skill to add to the game. In my eyes there are issues with a lot of the current skills because there are no motivation to go past level 90 (Herb, Smith, Mining...), and although a lot of skills have gotten minigame buffs the base training methods are still grindy (Construction, RC, and Agility). One of Jagex's requirements for a new skill is that it is ingrained into the game and could seamlessly transition into the current play modes. My proposal to the community is to add the skill,
Influence, Popularity or Valor. The skill would focus on increasing relationships with NPCs to gain access to rewards, chat dialogues, perks, cosmetic items and username prefixes and suffixes. The character's goal is to conduct favors or donate items to NPCs in order to gain influence points and xp. In addition, the character will be able to interact more with NPCs that nobody currently cares about while reviving previously dead content.
TRAINING
In runescape there are two types of skill training methods where some skills require you to spend a lot of money to get a high xp/hr (Herb, Construction or Crafting) or free methods where you grind out a lower xp/hr (Mining, Hunting, Runecraft). My belief is that the player should decide which way they want to proceed in order to train the skill so my proposal would be to have two different training methods.
METHOD ONE: Help Wanted - In each city there should be a noticeboard where NPCs can post tasks they need completed within the area. Tasks could be ranked from 1 star to 5 star with 5 star requiring the player to have high skills to complete the task. The catch is that you only have a certain amount of tasks every day that you are able to complete, and they only refresh at game rollover times. For example, in Varrock you would have 10 postings, 2 being 5 stars, 2 being 4 stars... etc out of a large number of potential postings that the player could receive. The amount of postings should be based on your influence level and the quests related to the area you have done. Tasks should contain a wide variety of skills and obstacles in order to keep them fresh otherwise it could feel like a fetch-quest and not be exciting. Some examples could be:
- Varrock (lower level example)
- Son Trapped in Cage: Your task would be to go through the Varrock Sewers and rescue a child who fell into the Bear Cage in the Varrock Castle Courtyard. You would have to kill the bear and return him back to the mother. REWARD: Combat and Influence XP - +10 Popularity in Varrock.
- Cat Stuck In Tree - You would help Gertrude get her cat off the tree, this would be a spur off the varrock rooftops course where you get agility xp and influence xp. REWARD - Agility and Influence XP - +5 Influence with Gertrude +10 Popularity in Varrock
- Purse Snatcher - Set up a trap to catch Thessalia's (clothing shop lady) purse snatcher. Bait a mugger with a 10k Cash Stack, knock him out and bring him to the nearest guard. REWARD - Hunting and Influence XP - +5 Influence Points with Thessalia +20 Popularity in Varrock.
- Ingredient Needed - Help the Apothecary to find a herb in Bryophytas Chamber, receive free mossy key and kill bryophyta and grab herb. REWARD - Herblore and Influence XP - +5 Influence with Apothecary +5 Popularity in Varrock
- Rellaka (mid level example)
- She’s Back - Thorvald the Warrior received a contract from the Lighthouse and needs someone to help him kill the Daganoth Queen from Horror from the Deep. Fight a stronger version of the boss. REWARD: Slayer, Combat and Influence XP - +5 Influence with Thorvald the Warrior.
- Need Beer - Manni the Reveller wants you to brew him a specific beer (i.e dwarven stout (m)) in your own vat. REWARD: Cooking and Influence XP - +5 Influence with Manni the Reveller
- Basilisk Tooth - Work with Sigli the Huntsman to create a trap for trapping basilisks in the Island of Stone. After 10 basilisks you receive a basilisk tooth. Give to Sigli for reward REWARD: Hunter, Herblore and Influence XP - +5 Influence with Sigli the Huntsman
- Cat Stuck in a Tree 2 - Help rellaka resident get her cat out of a dead tree. Spin off from the rooftop course where you rescue a cat. REWARD - Agility and Influence XP - +10 Influence with Gertrude
- Prifddnas (upper level example)
- Seren Slayer - Help the elves contain a portal with the Fragments of Seren boss in it. Kill Boss REWARD: 5 Crystal Shards Slayer and Influence XP - +5 Influence with Iorwerth Clan
- Expert Miner Needed - Help the Zalcano guards find a unique mineral located on the top of the mountain west of Gwenith. Mine 100 pieces of ore and return to Zalcano. Play 5 rounds of Zalcano only using that material. 10 Crystal Shards Mining Runecraft Smithing and Influence XP. +5 Influence with Traahern Clan
- Unique Furniture Needed - Commission an unique piece of furniture from elf in Ithell Clan. Run through Tirawyn finding one of five unique trees in the area based on the furniture item. Chop 10 logs run back to Prif workbench with 100 Crystal Shards and make furniture item. REWARD: 110 Crystal Shards Construction Woodcutting Agility and Influence XP, +5 Influence with Ithell Clan
- Cat Stuck in a Tree 3 - Spur off from the Prifddinas Agility Course similar to the last two. REWARD: 5 Crystal Shards Agility and Influence XP - +20 Influence with Gertrude +5 Influence with Hefin Clan
There could be interesting opportunities to be added to Kourend (to replace the Kourend Favour System), a PKer dangerous version of this in the Wilderness. Explanation of these items will take place later in this write-up in the cross over section.
METHOD TWO: Donations - The aim of this method is to focus on providing NPCs with specific items in order to gain a big Influence XP boost. This could either be a specific item or a cash donation capped at a certain amount each day. The Xp rates should be significantly higher than the help wanted method, but provide less rewards. Some examples,
Father Lawrence - The Varrock Church is looking for donations to the church. Please donate x amount of GP. - Could unlock Gilded Altar in Varrock Church after enough donated
The Curator - The Curator wants something new for his new trimmed armor room (maybe one of the exhibits on the lower level). Each day he asks for a different/random piece of armor trim set for his armor exhibit. Eventually you complete the whole room with every armor piece and receive a big Influence XP reward.
Manni The Reveller - Manni needs help paying his astronomically high bar tab. Please donate x amount of GP. - Could gain access to unique brews or "the stuff" from Trouble Brewing
Port Sarim Sailor - Wants money to get a new ship to sail to new islands. Please donate x amount of GP. - Could gain access to new fishing locations, seaweed patches or underwater activities
Prifiddnas Elf - Elf wants to learn more about the resources on the other areas of Gielinor. Gives you a list of resources and amounts they want (i.e. 500 yew logs, 200 Mithril ore, 1500 Molten Glass).
The downside to doing the Donation Training method as opposed to grinding it out is that you receive no influence points with NPCs and don’t obtain the rewards in that section of the skill.
The donation method should contain titles similar to the influence point method, but should be an incredibly high gp amount. This is a potential for Jagex to have a money and item sink and can really alter the runescape economy in a positive way.
REWARDS
In addition to gaining experience drops the player would also gain Influence Points with NPCs. Once a player achieves a certain amount of influence points they unlock certain benefits from the NPC. For example, if the player receives 100 Influence Points with Gertrude you can recolor your cat to a spotted pattern, 200 Influence Points can be striped, 1000 Influence Points can be Golden. For helping Sigli The Huntsman in Rellaka you can unlock his shortcut to the Dagannoth Kings underneath the Horror From the Deep Lighthouse for 1000 Influence Points. For each elven clan you help you can unlock a cosmetic recolor of the Crystal Armor or
unlock recipes for Cooking and Herblore like a Beeferoni Cheesedog that heals +20. Depending on the area you can gain influence towards the whole city. For Varrock you would have various unlocks throughout the city as you gain more and more points. Similar to how the Achievement Diary rewards work.
In RS3 they unlocked the use of prefixes and suffixes alongside your RSN behind a paywall or achievements. I think this skill can be an opportunity for jagex to include titles in the game unlocked behind Influence Points. If you receive a high enough influence level with a NPC or clan you can receive a title. For example, if you receive a high enough influence level with Sigli the Huntsman you receive the suffix “The Huntsman” so your name will show up as
the Huntsman. This would be something manageable through your in-game options manager.
The titles should be extremely hard to receive. It should easily be a post 99 thing that players want to get because they are genuinely interested in grabbing the title. Since the tasks are only posted once per day it will be a long commitment for the player to get and allow players the prestige of being the rare owner of a title.
In the above examples I listed out a base level influence point increase per NPC or clan, however, there should be an opportunity for players to increase the amount of Influence Points per Task. One opportunity would be to dress like the NPC you are running the task for. For example, for every matching piece of Thessalia's clothes you are wearing you gain +1 Influence Point. The way you gain a piece of Thessalia's clothing is to increase your influence points with her, and at a certain point she will give you an extra piece of clothing. The Influence Skill Cape should also buff the amount of points you receive. An example of the reward tables is as follows:
Thessalia | Influence Points | Reward |
| 25 | Thessalia's Top |
| 50 | Thessalia's Skirt |
| 75 | Thessalia's Boots |
| 500 | Title "The Seamstress" |
Sigli The Huntsman | Influence Points | Reward |
| 100 | Sigli's Top |
| 200 | Sigli's Pants |
| 400 | Sigli's Hood (b/c its sick) |
| 750 | Sigli's Bow |
| 1000 | Secret Cave Shortcut to DKS |
| 2000 | Title "The Huntsman" |
Gertrude | Influence Points | Reward |
| 100 | Spotted Recolor To Cat |
| 250 | Stripped Recolor to Cat |
| 500 | GARFIELD |
| 1000 | Golden Recolor to Cat |
| 2000 | Title "Cat Burgular" or "Cat Lady" |
Obviously the point rewards in my example are way out of whack to what the reward examples are so they will need to be adjusted, however, with balancing this could be an interesting reward table.
Level Unlocks
Each level tier allows you to unlock a noticeboard in a city. For example, Level 1 would be in Lumby, Level 10 in Varrock, Level 50 in Rellaka and Level 90 in Prif. In addition, City and Clan unlocks will be behind a level requirement. These unlocks should be similar to the resource dungeons originally included in the Dungeoneering Skill in RS3. For example, in varrock there could be a resource unlock for a mining dungeon or in Prif there could be a grove unlock that gives the player one crystal acorn a week.
Getting 99 Influence should give the player a substantial reward to training the skill as the title rewards are going to be tough to obtain. My suggestion would be to be able to double the influence points per reward.
CROSS OVERS
There is endless potential for Jagex to deepen the content and lore of the game through this skill. For example, having NPCs request certain tasks from the player gives each NPC a deeper backstory than the lady who hands out cats, or the drunk guy at the Rellaka Bar, The focus of this skill is how the player interacts with the NPCs, and having various influence levels over NPCs should unlock more lines of text or dialogue that is usually spaced over.
Managing Miscellania - Since you are the king of the island there should be an opportunity for rework on the minigame to assist in making the game more fruitful for players. This could be tied into the donation aspect of the skill.
Trouble Brewing - How else would you gain influence on Mos Le Harmless? Making rum for the locals increases your influence. Maybe reworking the game so you deliver the rum to the residents of Mos Le Harmless could be fun. Also, there is an opportunity for a tie-in with the naval outfits, maybe a temporary boost.
Ring of Charos - Should definitely be a boost to the level in some way.
Kourend Favor System - I honestly don't think I've met a person who loves doing Kourend Favour and this would be a prime opportunity for Jagex to incorporate it into this skill. There are a lot of fun games and activities in the favour system that get overlooked because they are slow and grindy. Making the player do a variety of these tasks might spin it into something more positive and fun.
Quests and Achievement Diaries - This skill needs to delineate itself rom these two items because they are kind of similar. I think doing quests and achievement diaries in an area should increase the availability of tasks assigned to you. In varrock, if you do Romeo and Juliet you could gain an extra task roll.
Wilderness - There definitely needs to be an opportunity for the skill to be implemented in the wilderness. This could be something fun like jagex creating a NPC that looks like a random player that you have to hunt down in the wildy or gathering resources throughout the wildy. The benefits should relate to PKing or Wilderness skilling boosts. Coordination with people who actually use the wilderness would be required in order to make the skill worthwhile and influential for PKers.
Clue Items - Cosmetic Items from clues could be used to increase influence points or xp. Not sure how it would tie-in.
CONCLUSION
I've thought about this skill quite a lot, and have other ideas that could be implemented to add this skill into the game. There are multiple benefits to the game if Jagex were to add this skill such as:
- Provide a Money and Item Sink
- Increase the value of a wide variety of items.
- Revive dead content
- Increase NPC lore and depth
- Add titles in a merit based system instead of how RS3 introduced them.
- It would be fun for the player to do :)
The purpose of this brief is to outline my idea for the skill and I hope there is positive feedback from the community. I have plenty of ideas that I could get down on paper if the community is interested, and if they are not it was fun theory crafting this skill. I'm just glad Jagex is attempting to create a skill to begin with :).
Thanks everyone and hopefully you like it.Main Cactus

2022.12.10 14:18 TexturalTriangle So oh, does that mean our twisted bow is gone when we log back in today? Got it at 11pm CST and then a few minutes later game worlds went offline.
2022.11.26 22:50 tillD2t Evil Tree Suggestion
This idea is for those people wanting Evil Tree, but this idea is more geared towards the feel of OSRS.
Ok, first, this is not a group activity. Why? Well, read below.
How it Works - Player use Corrupt Soil on a tree player-own tree patch. (This is why it is a solo event).
- Plant the tree sapling like normal until fully grown.
- Once fully grown, after checking the health of the Evil Tree and getting your normal farming experience, you are ready for Evil Tree Battle!
- Set the Evil Tree on fire using firemaking. The fire is on going granting firemaking experience periodically and causing damage to the Evil Tree.
- The player wack at the Evil Tree using the Woodcutting skill.
- Once in a while, the Evil Tree will wack back at the player, stunning him/her and other pronouns. Boom, easy. No HP damage against the player.
- Once the Evil Tree is defeated, the player digs up the stump granting them a reward, and an empty tree patch.
Rewards? - Birds Nests,
- logs/planks,
- hatchets (higher tier tree gives higher chance of higher tier hatchet)
- tree roots (related to the player's farming level)
Dragon Hatchet is part of the reward system, however. Magic Tree is super rare while Spirit Tree is Rare. So, keep those Spirit Tree Seeds!
How to obtain Corrupt Soil? - Thieving Master Farmers, chests in the wild
- Hunter: Catching Nature and Earth Implings (Natures being slightly better)
- Combat: Killing Moss Giants, Killing Nature Spirits, Killing Bryophyta & Hospori
- Other: Part of the seed pack from the farming guild. Not part of the seed loot table.
Why this way? - This prevents the D&D time base mindset. Farming is already like that but with this new addition, it doesn't take away from your normal farm run except for a few minutes of skilling-combat.
- It is an easy way to implement without having to force people into long group activity that will die. By making it solo experience, and with only a small number of tree patches, it makes the Evil Tree doable whenever you want.
- The Dragon Hatchet coming from magic and spirit tree is great for players not wanting to do combat related skills. It stays true to the skilling sides of things requiring high level farming and woodcutting to do, or firemaking (as it can kill the evil tree without the player hitting it). Also, spirit trees are not tradable and quite rare. So, the seed rarity plus the drop loot rarity makes it ultra rare.
Other Ideas: - Fruit trees and Special Trees have Evil variants as well.
- Their rewards are additional fruit for Fruit Trees (and Calquats)
- Teaks and Mahogany are the same as normal trees expect can provide numulites
- Celastrus tree will drop extra Celastrus bark and chance of a celastrus seed

2022.09.20 23:28 Paimon4Dinner [OBTAINING Bryophyta's Essence ] Someone Please Correct Me If I'm Wrong Here... But I Can't Seem To Find Anyone Else With This Done....
So as far as im concerned and by what information is availiable on the osrs wiki. The Essence has a 1/118 Chance to drop in both f2p and p2p worlds upon a fight with Bryophyta. Now.. Given that the f2p drop table is signifigantly reduced due to herbs etc not being on there, would it make more sense if I am seeking to obtain the Essence by getting all my kills in F2P and not P2P? I am maxed almost so it makes no difference on kill speed - just looking at raw statistics of being able to get the essence. If anyone could point out any flaws in this logic please do so as I am curious. (NEED STAFF FOR CLUE BEEN STUCK FOR AGES 49 KILLS AND COUNTING!)

2022.07.27 17:58 Slothptimal The F2P Achievement Diary - Follow Up to the F2P Bond (Bot-Reduction System)
Inspired by
u/larderfan02 's thread
completing all F2P quests should provide an untradeable, 7 day bond. As a bot control measure, as well as encouraging players to explore the entirety of F2P, I say there should be a F2P achievement diary, with the end reward of a 7 day untradeable bond.
The main idea behind this is that the game has so much to offer - just completing all quests isn't the entirety of OSRS. There's minigames, bossing, skilling, and fun activities to try that are just not part of quests. This also introduces players into the idea of Combat Diaries and Achievement Diaries, encouraging more exploration in P2P.
For Jagex, this could coincide with their new "You just logged in, here's some ideas for what to do" thingy that was just added.
For this, I think there should only be Easy (Level 1-10), Medium (10-20), and Hard (20-40)
Examples:
Easy Defeat A Goblin
Equip a Steel Weapon
Burn Any Logs
Craft Any Rune
Cook On The Lumbridge Range
Complete Floor 1 of S.o.S.
Talk to the Wise Old Man with 5 Quest Points
Visit Ferox's Enclave
Complete the Grand Exchange Tutorial
Medium Sabotage the Black Knights
Use Doric's Anvil
Slay A Vampire
Play a Game of Castle Wars
Craft Some Fire Runes
Equip a Mithril Weapon
Equip a Willow Shortbow
Cast Low Level Alchemy
Burn Some Oak Logs
Complete Floor 3 of S.o.S.
Talk to the Wise Old Man with 20 Quest Points
Hard Defeat Elvarg
Defeat Obor
Defeat Bryophyta
Raid the Camdozaal Vault
Speak to the Wise Old Man with 44 Quest Points
Cast Falador Teleport
Equip a Rune Weapon
Equip a Piece of Dragonhide
Chop Willow Logs
Mine Some Coal
Smelt A Gold Bar
Equip Fancy Boots or Fighter Boots
Activate Incredible Reflexes, Steel Skin, and Ultimate Strength at the same time
These are just some examples. From the Leagues Tasks, there's plenty to pull from. I feel like this would truly feel like "Completing Free-to-Play" and would merit the 7 day bond. The extra tasks of getting a Giant Key and defeating Obor, completing the Stronghold of Security, completing every quest, and having to raise every skill should be solid enough impediments to drastically hurt the ability for bots to abuse this.

I have started a f2p ironman to casually play and wanted to ask if people have any content recommendations? At this stage all I was thinking so far was to do all f2p quests and work towards killing obobryophyta. I am relatively new to OSRS and might not know of some content

2022.04.07 20:09 SubscribeToVILTAUTAS F2p balance
Hello, so I know most of the osrs community doesn't have favourable opinions on making content around snowflake ironman. The f2p community (or atleast myself) was outraged about the fact that below ice mountain came into being, and after nerfing the entire place, the contents pretty much became dead even to f2ps... However, I'm not here to talk about that. I'm here to talk about ogresses. Previously (before ogress warriors/shamans) everything was pretty much balanced. You can't buy nature runes/law runes in f2p, the only way to get them is monster drops. So it was very simple, if you want nature runes- go to moss giants, if you want law runes- go to ankous (or chaos dwarfs if you're feeling risky), if you want money- go to lesser demons to train up your ranged/mage and maybe get a few lucky rune med helms. Another option for money was obor if you were high enough combat, and since nature runes from moss giants was an uncommon drop, it made sense for bryophyta to come to the game. But now there's literally no point (except hill giant club/clues) to go to any of those places. Ogresses drop enough money for you to substain yourself there with addy arrows or fire bolts, while lesser demons can barely manage to cover the cost of bronze arrows. Ogresses drop around the same amount of law runes/hour as ankous (atleast in my 1hour tests) and they drop 2 times more nature runes than moss giants. Not to mention that there's a bank (all these other monsters have banks atleast 100 tiles away) near ogresses as well as rune/arrow shops for ultimate ironman, so no matter what kind of ironman you are, you can stay there for an unlimited amount of time. Basically you get my point, all other content is dead because ogresses are simply 5 times better.
Now I'm not telling you to nerf ogresses, its already way too late for that. I suggest you buff other monsters instead. Atleast jagex doesn't want to add a rune scim to any drop table, they seem pretty keen on that... My suggestion is simple- make all the monsters have purpose again. Make ankous drop 10 law runes instead of 2, make moss giants drop 18 nature runes instead of 6, don't make them more common, just make them drop in bigger quantities so it's easier to notice. Lesser demons should stop dropping steel equipment, they're 82 combat after all. Make lesser demons drop adamant full helms instead of steel, adamant scimitars instead of steel, buff their death rune/chaos rune drops to atleast 20 each, they're demons from hell after all, but don't make them drop an adamant axe, we don't want that :p .
Personally, I can't see a way how this could destroy or even change the economy. Barely anyone goes to ankous unless its a slayer task, and I kinda doubt that high level players (110+cmbt) will be picking up 2k gp drops, and even if they did, they'd bring in 100 law runes/task, compared to some bosses who bring in 4000 law runes/task that is literally nothing. Same for moss giants/lesser demons, noone goes there unless of a slayer task, and even if they did get an extra 30k loot I don't believe that they'll focus on that, but will rather look at their slayer xp.
That about wraps up my perspective of ogresses, as they are now, they are the best monster to camp 13-99 magic, 40-99 ranged, 60-99 melee stats. Again this is all from a f2p Ironman perspective, but I can't see any bad things that would come out of changings these things for normal players, in fact, people who are training early slayer ( 1-50) will be more motivated to play, f2ps who don't know of ogresses will too. And ogresses won't loose their popularity, they'll still be the absolute best monster to farm, but others will atleast have a chance to compete.
What are your thoughts? Do you simply don't care and think this is a waste of jagex's time? Or do you think things should stay as they are? Let me know!

2022.01.18 13:55 Funkerton_iv Where is the IceGiant boss
I've played OSRS for a bit, Talking with mid-late players. Hill boss, Moss boss, Ice ........ Everything seems pretty laid out for this update. Dungeon location exists, wilderness giants exist in deep wildy, just add an instance area with a boss maybe with the added concept of a pickaxe to crack the ice shield or something (adds a similarity to Bryophyta).
Is it rehashing content potentially, but is it adding content yes.

RS3 sold out their player base for the Squeal of Fortune in 2012. Their desire for profit forced developers to implement ways to have players spend more money. Even though the Old School team promised to never implement MTX's, a notion we all appreciated (bonds are a gray area), they have placed more emphasis on getting players to create new accounts. If they can't get you to pay to improve your main account, they'll get you to pay to make a new one.
For example, in the past few years, the vast majority of content caters to early and mid-game players in order to make the new account grind feel fresh. Old School RuneScape has been out since 2013, but why does most of the content offer additional stepping stones for new accounts instead of focusing on loyal player retention? In the years following ToB release, the community received a massive range of early and mid-game updates such as the Ruins of Camdozaal, Mahogany Homes, a second Novice tier slayer master (Spria), Tempoross, The Forthos Dungeon, Zeah rework after Zeah rework, Bryophyta, Obor, and more. Notably, since 2017 we have received 13 Novice and Intermediate tier quests. In the same time frame, only 4 Grandmaster tier. We have received essentially no end game content outside of The Nightmare, an easily farmable boss that is camped 24/7 by RWT accounts in Void and Sarachnis Cudgels. I’m not counting Hard Mode ToB or Phosani as those were easily implementable re-skins of existing content.
I won't criticize Leagues or DMM since you can play those on your main account, but the rest of what I described contributes to the culture of rinse and repeat. Do you think GIM is the end, or do you think we'll be marketed another reason to make a new account in 6 months? I've been playing RuneScape long before OSRS came out, and I've been a dedicated OSRS player since its release in 2013. I want to see the developers improve the game and see the player base improve alongside it. I voted "no" to GIM because I did not believe it was in the game's best long-term interest. You don't need a game mode to tell you to play with your friends - play your main account, hop on Discord with your pals, and level up.

2021.07.05 19:39 JeriJones My journey in Osrs
(tl/dr; at the end)
Edit to add image album:
https://imgur.com/a/BZWBRwp So my story begins on 21 May this year, that is the date I made my first char
Isa Nanao. Didn't know anything about the game, so with her I tried a lot of things while reading the wiki and watching youtube videos (nibzscape, biglikeacow, flippingoldschool, smallexplamp and others). This was the period that I figured out for myself what money making methods work, where to train and so on. Long story short made my gear, around 1-2M gold selling mostly wooden shields, pizza's and water buckets (I know very original) and that was mostly what I did on that account, nowadays she mostly sits around the GE selling my junk.
Moving on in my history, around a month ago, on 4th June, I made my second char
Lermentynth. She evolved quite a bit over time, from extra GE slots char, to testing tips from kaitios ironman efficiency series (I wasn't ready to try IronWoman yet, but it's a great series with a lot of good tips that apply to regular accounts too) and finally to becoming my main. Don't ask why I decided to make my second account my main, I don't know either for sure but i had a lot more fun on this account. Was really proud of it, did dragon slayer at 30 combat, flinching elvarg for around 30 minutes xD, reached 750 total f2p level in about 2 weeks, and since then had a lot of things to be even more proud. Last week did my first Obor kills (he face rolled me so hard on Isa), sure i was realy better prepared than before with 80+ combat (66 atk, 70 str, 65 def, 60 magic and 70 range, 50 prayer) but damm did it feel good to pay him back. Also did Bryophyta a bunch of times, which was a walk in the park compared to Obor. The rest of the week spent it doing mostly afk stuff like woodcutting yews in Rimmington (yep Rimmington since Edgeville spot is mostly packed on all worlds, Port Sarim is filled also mostly with bots and behind Varrock palace is the favorite place of /s skillers with lvl 3 off tutorial island, all lvl 1 stats and lvl 70+ woodcutting /s) , fishing, cooking and a bit of merching on the side. This weekend I was very happy, on friday my bank was estimated in runelite at 13M gold between all the drops from farming ogress shamans to lvl 70 ranged and the trades i did. So i put an offer for a bond for around 4.7M (I kept hearing around the GE ppl talking about it costing 6M but I'm a cheapskate like nibzscape) and was lucky to get one (to whoever sold this friday bonds at under 5M GP, if you are reeading this, ty so much you made me realy happy that day). I didn't use it, just placed it in the bank and was waiting for the weekend to end to use it since i wanted to grind a bit more stuff before going to members. Other than mining which I haven't touched since getting 60 to enter the mining guild, smithing which stands at 55 and runecrafting at a whopping 46 (was crafting air tiaras and doing body golems but god damm was I loosing the will to live after that grind), all my skills were 65+ this weekend (with my highest skill in cooking at 75, followed by fishing and woodcutting at 70) and was close to total level 950 in f2p (Yup I'm one of those crazy persons who likes to grind f2p).
Now i said i was mostly doing afk stuff on Lermentynth, there is a reason for that. After all the melee and ranged grind I was feeling a bit worn out. So last sunday while browsing youtube for some osrs content that didn't involve money making (just search youtube for "osrs f2p" and see the search results filled with only that content) had a stroke of genius and switched to speedrun's website and to my surprise there were actual speedruns of OSRS. FUN i said. Did some research, found out OSRS Wiki has a great guide. Excelent, went to bed coz i was realy tired (playing around 18h per day does that), left TheMibulous's ESA run from last year to play on my tv while falling asleep. The next day on monday was pumped and as you may have guessed it -> made a new account. Millions of captchas later had the authentificator set up and a name chosen (on a random name generator site coz all the ones i wanted were taken QQ). And so
Yumihomi was born.
Coffe in hand, I was ready to follow the speedrun guide. And off to a good start ... only took me around 1 hour to choose a char look xD. Anyway let's get going. Running as fast as I can trough Tutorial island, after a bit I reach the end and teleport to Lumbridge. Crap forgot to talk to the iron man tutor ... Rip my WR run :/. Anyway continued with the guide just more relaxed and after a few hours I was done with it (great respect for what speedrunners do, you guys are all awsome). Next set out to complete the rest of the quests that the speedrun guide didn't touch.
Problem nr. 1 - Was butt naked with 20 atk and 10 hp, not to mention I didn't have lvl 33 magic to telegrab the map piece. Well just log Lermentynth, transfer gear, curse the monk in Varrock palace a few hundred times, easy peasy, got to 33 magic in no time at all. Started Dragon Slayer, all well and good till I reach the maze, every monster past the rats is aggresive. What to do? Give up ? Nah it will be fine, just bring my lvl 84 combat butt naked to punch all the agro while i kill the right monsters. This tactic was realy funny at the end of the maze, when the demon couldn't get past my main and I just safe spotted him. Next step, go to dwarven mine ... try to open the door ... fail. Run to Falador to buy a wizzard mind bomb, open the door ... get the map piece, buy the ship done done and ready to rock Elvarg with my awsome stats of 20 atk, 34 magic (yup leveled once in the maze that's how much i was splashing xD) and 12 health. Time to head to Crandor. Set sail Captain Ned! Ooooo pretty dragon (Random bit: Lermentynth is inspired by a black dragon). Crash on Crandor ... notice all monsters are agressive. Well it worked before, so i bring my main to distract the monsters till my little one can open the secret passage and jump in at Elvarg. Almost all went according to plan, had to jump up for some bananas for food on my main but finally got inside at Elvarg and got him in the position for flinching. I charged my most powerful spell and flinched Elvarg. Glorious battle ... or so I would say if he wouldn't have killed me in an instant :(. See ... at this point i realized what you people that have been playing this game for years probably already know ... u can't flinch Elvarg with 12 hp and in a mage setup xD. Anyway after around 10 tries and a few missclicks on the gravestone or the mice instead of the safe spot, I got my gear back and teleported out and decided I had nowhere the experience or the luck to do this.
Didn't give up tough, just left dragon slayer for another time and did other things. Did for example Below Ice Mouintain easily with those stats. Trained to 27 ranged and that got me to 21 hp and a better chance at Elvarg. So i went again and defeated him, tough i did have to restock my food with my main since it took so long to fight him, but in the end it was all done and I was happy :). That was over, and the rest of the time until yesturday I mostly chilled, doing things on both Yumihomi and Lermentynth, maybe once a day logging on Isa to check the GE to see if any of my orders were fulfilled. To date Yumihomi was my luckiest char ... i got the mace in camdozaal in about 1h and after that i got parts for 5 more maces or so (in contrast on Isa i have 2/3 parts after i spent a few days there). And the rest of the week was what I said before. Skilling on both this chars, by yesturday (Sunday) i had reached lvl 500 f2p worlds on my little Yomi too. The rest of the week was not too interesting, as i mentioned before the highlights were I got a bond on friday and the last thing I did was finally flip a dragonstone breastplate that i had sitting in the GE for a week (flippingoldschool I ain't).
tl/dr; So why the long ass story you may ask? For those that read the whole wall of text I thank you since this whole story took me around 7 hours to type and I hope at least some of my story made you smile and made your day at least a bit better. To the rest, I had 3 accounts, the 2nd (main) and 3rd accounts I have been playing for the whole past week on both of them, culminating in me getting a bond from the exchange on friday for a resonable price (4.7M) and the low of yesturday (Sunday) when I was sitting with my main at the GE, getting logged out and upon trying to log back in met with an disabled account for macroing.
/s And well what i was to do ... I appealed it, and let me tell you i don't know why some people on this reddit say there is no customer support for this game, but my appeal was Super Easy, Barely an Inconvenience O_O ... within the hour Mod Theop took time from his busy sunday and responded:
In your appeal you've indicated that the reason for your ban was for macroing.
Many third party software websites and applications contain keyloggers, trojans and viruses which can put your personal details at risk. Macroing also detracts from the >intended experience of RuneScape by also offering an unfair advantage to those that use them. Learn more.
After a comprehensive review of this account there is sufficient evidence to suggest the offence was applied correctly. There is no suggestion that the offence was applied in error.
We'll be unable to review future appeals for this account and repeated attempts to appeal this ban may not receive a response.
At this point I wanted to thank him for confirming that I was an efficient macroer, but their email address is set to not accept mail :(. /s
Sarcasm aside, with that automated reply i felt just like Gudi (I don't understand much about the members side of the game since this is my first time playing but that was an awsome watch and tbh I chuckled at his bit with him getting banned ... until I read this reddit I tought that was just a joke and there was no way an employee would be banned). And well ... I'm no content creator, don't have any friends at Jagex and my only thing to show from my journey are a few screenshots of moments that I hold dear.
And before someone asks yes I am using runelite mainly because my windows machine is an old ass 2in1 T100TA tablet that runs the official client at barely 15 fps (runelite with the help of the gpu gets me mostly 30 fps constant - console experience ftw), and on my linux laptop because I don't have a steam account (shocking o_o) and tbh i'm not even sure that the steam client has support for linux.
In the end, i sent another appeal in the hopes that an actual human will take a look at it, but I'm not too hopeful tbh, so probably i'll move on to another game and if I'll ever get the itch to play runescape ever again I hope i'll remember to stream every minute of me playing the game in the hopes that this doesn't happen again.
Thnx if you read the whole thing and happy travels in the lands of Gielinor :).
Oh and P.S. I have read the rules, this is not a ban appeal (have done that trough the official website).

2021.05.06 20:55 LewisIsFail The truth you don't want to hear about the OSRS economy
TL;DR: OSRS economy screwed because drop tables are too generous with alchables and resources, I guess. EDIT: The biggest takeaway from the comments so far is that the game is also in dire need of an item sink to maintain item prices. Very good point Reddit, can't believe I missed it! :)
Now, to start off with, I am not an economist. I am merely going off my own personal speculation, observation, and perspective. I welcome you to post your opinions on this. Please do not turn this idea down without due thought, the fate of the game is at stake if things carry on the way they are.
Some of my points may be right, some of my points may be wrong. But I ask you to at least try to appreciate and understand where I am coming from. I am just someone who cares deeply about the game and its longevity.
Here we go. The economy right now is in a dire state, but it has been declining a lot longer than just end-game items dropping. For many years, skilling has been literally pointless. There’s no point fishing, woodcutting, or mining because slayer monsters and bosses drop resources in abundance.
I believe that bosses need to follow the GWD model.
- Difficult to access (long run and 40 minion kc to enter)
- Drops barely covering supplies used, if even that
- A few big items that make them worth doing in the long run
Take this from the wiki for example:
The average General Graardor kill, including its unique drops, is worth
136,866. Excluding the unique drops, the average kill is worth
23,534.
Now, let’s compare that to Zulrah, one of the most profitable, resource abundant, and heavily botted bosses in the game:
The average Zulrah kill is worth 94,661.89.
The uniques aren’t even mentioned in the wiki’s drop analysis. The profit all comes from a boss that has a teleport to the instance with no time mitigating factors like GWD’s KC mechanic, it drops far too many resources and alchables in abundance and you profit even if you die twice before getting a kill. This is NOT sustainable and item prices (end-game and resources) in modern OSRS are the proof.
Now please, do not assume I’m saying every boss needs a 40 minion count to enter, that’s stupid, obviously. But it needs something. Remove Zul-andra Teleport Scrolls completely, for example, that adds at least a little bit of a run from the fairy ring and charter ships.
So, what happens if we remove all alchables and resource drops from bosses? I don’t know, but if I were to guess…
First of all, all resources would rise in price as they’re not being funnelled into the game at high velocity. Skilling would be more profitable and allow for greater variation in training and updates as they would be worth doing for cash. Skilling is rather stagnant right now, the only methods worth doing are the highest xp/hr.
Secondly, fewer people would engage with the content because it is not consistent, this would mean the uniques would come into the game slower and therefore rise in price. I’d expect they’d engage with other content instead, like skilling, as skilling would be more profitable.
Thirdly, because we don’t all have an abundance of resources, well-balanced content like the GWD big tickets would rise in price because we can’t consistently stay there all day with nothing but the supplies spoonfed to us from the broken bosses.
I anticipate that this would restore the sense of achievement and distinction that comes with having rare items. It's just not like that anymore. It’s too easy to get Bandos and Armadyl and Blowpipe and Rigour and Augury and D Claws. There’s no achievement or fanfare to these items. You’re expected to have them all after a few weeks at Zulrah.
The thing is… Some modern bosses actually have a niche they can fill to be at least mildly consistently profitable. Zulrah drops her scales, Vorkath has superior bones, for example. The Giant Mole’s bird nests set the precedent there. Not every boss needs a mechanic like this, but these ones have them built in already. These unique resources ensure there will always be a base-level of profit and, should this proposal become reality, their prices might even rise with the reduced number of players engaging with Zulrah and Vorkath in favour of more consistent methods, like skilling might be when resources are removed from boss tables.
How did this happen? Modern gaming is in a state as it is. The majority of modern games follow the business model of pumping the game full of microtransactions and the gameplay is all instant-gratification, flashing lights, and big drops from lootboxes.
The lack of this is what makes OSRS so special. It’s an
Old School RPG. There aren’t microtransactions except Bonds, but they are non-predatory and actually help the game by being directly tied to membership and removing GP from the game when made tradeable.
But we’ve fallen into the trap, the instant-gratification crowd is being pandered to. Every boss is consistent with money. We have Larran’s and Konar’s Lootbox pumping out alchables. We have easily accessible, low TTK bosses dropping over 100k consistently.
This is pandering to the crowd that OSRS was not built for. We (well, I) love OSRS because of the long, satisfying grinds that cannot be bought, however modern boss drop tables completely go against that rhetoric.
Just look at
Zulrah’s drop table vs
Graardor’s and see the discrepancy for yourself.
Conclusion This isn’t sustainable. Alchables lower the value of GP and the massive resource drops lower the value of skilling.
At least some bosses need to be harder to access with time mitigation to enter. This does not have to be GWD KC, it can be an agility puzzle or something like the kharazi jungle entrance - those two things won’t appeal to the community and they don’t sound fun to me either, but they’re just examples to get the ball rolling.
I will concede, not every boss needs to be this severely hindered. Take Giant Mole for example. Easily accessible but not immensely overpowered. It can be done. The Giant Mole's profit comes from providing a resource not easily attainable anywhere else... A bit like Zulrah's Scales and Vorkath's Superior Bones...
And, just for the record, I don’t love the idea of anymore bosses following the Totem/Key method like Skotizo, Bryophyta, and Obor (except Fire and Ice Giant Bosses to complete the collection of course). It’s okay for those bosses, but bosses should still be relatively farmable. If you're skilled enough, you can get a ton of Graardor kills on one batch of 40 KC.
The game needs a massive, global nerf to drop tables. Bosses and slayer. The vast majority of resources should come from skilling, not combat. The game is Slayerscape and GEscape, has been for a long time and it's just becoming more and more so.
An example of the crazy expectations of players these days... People were complaining about Wyrm drop tables on release?! That’s absurd, their drop table is mighty generous! The standards for what is and isn’t generous are on an unsustainable level.
You cannot have rare items be worth money and every boss giving you infinite money every kill, it doesn’t work like that. The current game is proof.
Final beg… Please, please, please try and understand my point. I know a lot of people won’t like this because they love their ezpz GEscape, but it is harming the game and a solution needs to be found soon.
Also, I appreciate people don’t have as much time to play these days and therefore think it should be easier… But there are games out there that cater to that. OSRS is/was one of the last games where a grind meant anything at all. That’s what makes it so special.
I’m interested in opinions, please keep the state of the game your priority and not short term GP grinds.

2021.02.16 18:40 Vazela Jagex: We Don't Want Memberslite Updates in F2P
Hi there. You might remember me as that guy who made the "We Made It Up" meme about Jagex's security promise from 2019. I don't come onto Reddit to make long winded self-pleasing posts in regards to proposed updates but today's blog regarding "Below Ice Mountain" (a proposed novice quest to F2P) has made me come out of the woodwork and make "one of those" posts.
I will try to keep things short and concise.
I own a Level 120 combat F2P account by the RSN name of "Exulae". I have been playing as a F2P only account since 2017. I am just under 1000 hours from 99 all. With all this in mind I have a very in-depth understanding of what the game is like from the F2P POV. It is very different from the members version of the game and it was that difference- specifically the fact that it doesn't get updated- that drew me into creating Exulae and playing F2P for the past 4 years.
Naturally I have a lot of friends who also play F2P and some of them are Iron Men. Unlike the members Iron Man mode community the Iron Men on F2P do not want content to be added to F2P. There have been some exceptions to this, of course. The Obor and Bryophyta updates of 2016 and 2019; Corsair Cove and Ogresses; and the addition of Skull Fragments to re-charge the Skull Sceptre have been widely praised in the F2P community- both by Iron Men- and regular mode players such as myself.
But these are just small tiny exceptions. We do not want "Below Ice Mountain" to be added to F2P.
I speak on the behalf of most F2P only players who would be fine with the update if it was specifically a members only update. All of the content that was proposed to come out with this quest were proposed as "memberslite" content in the first place, and the excuse for this is to introduce what it would be like to play OSRS to new players if they had membership.
But there is just one problem with that and it's this: if new players want to experience what it is like to play OSRS with memberships then all they have to do is buy membership for their accounts and hey presto they can experience membership content without it infringing on hundreds of players who play F2P specifically- who might I add- contribute to the game's membership pool just as much as your average player base. Many of us play F2P whilst playing in members.
This update will change the dynamics of all three current iterations of the Iron Man mode, and will impact future Group Iron Men accounts in F2P (when that mode is introduced to the game). Furthermore it will contribute to the growing escalating amounts of bots and gold farmers that we have been seeing coming into the F2P worlds ever since the Revenants Caves were removed last year.
As I mentioned earlier we were widely positive about Corsair Cove, F2P bosses and the Skull Scepter updates. This updates were good for our game. The proposed introductions of the "Ice Mountain Dungeon" and all of it's content would be a negative introduction to our game.
We do not want anymore updates to F2P. Please listen too us. We are paying customers who contribute to the financial side to your game. We all have accounts with membership; there are many of us who are content creators; and we are a positive force in the F2P servers having helped many new players find a way into membership through giveaways, guides and general help/advice.
Do not introduce "Below Ice Mountain" to F2P.

Fun Assumptions and Speculations:
- 2,837 players completed 250 kc Sire. There were only 2,843 Dragon ranked players total. It's likely that most Dragon ranked players went for this and other related Sire tasks.
- 957 players completed 2+ Inferno kc to be on the hiscores. There are 2,843 Dragon ranked players total. Inferno cape related tasks, although incredibly helpful to reach Dragon, are not explicitly required.
- 2,414 players completed 750 kc Mole for 250 pts. There were only 2,349 Dragon ranked players that picked Asg. It's likely that most or all Dragon ranked Asg players had went for this task.
- 55/32 players completed 650/1,000 (respectively) kc Dagannoth King for 250 pts. There were only 57 Frem players in the top 100. Not all of them had completed the 650 kc task. At best, only half of the top 100 Frem players decided that the 1k task was worthwhile.
- 7,690 players completed 750 kc Kraken for 250 pts. There were only 2,679 Dragon ranked Kand players. It's very likely that all of them completed this task.
- 135 players completed 500 kc KQ for 250 pts. There were only 137 Dragon ranked Desert players. Although it's possible to be Dragon ranked without this task, most Dragon ranked Desert players likely had completed this task.
- 11 players completed 350 kc ToB for 250 pts. There were only 13 Mory players in the top 100. This was also a task that not all of the highest ranked players had completed.
- 209 players completed 250 kc CG for 250 pts. There were only 860 Dragon ranked Tir players. Possibly only a quarter of all Dragon ranked Tir players had completed this task.
- 155 players completed 50+ kc Corp. There were only 87 Dragon ranked Wildy players. It would be extremely difficult to reach Dragon rank with Wildy without obtaining Corp kc. Also, of the 9 Wildy bosses/demi-bosses, only Corp had accumulative kc tasks.
Credit to TehAnon, for gathering
Leagues Dragon Rank Data. This put me in the mood to sift through hiscores for several hours and also provided me with numbers to measure the PvM hiscores against.

2020.10.08 20:06 LordGozer2 Trailblazer League - An extensive overview of every region with content, uniques, quest unlocks and more
Trailblazer is the 2nd league in OSRS, releasing 28 October and lasts until 6 January 2021. The world map is divided into 9 regions, where everyone starts with Misthalin (including Zanaris & Fossil Island), and Karamja as a free unlock. You can then unlock subsequent regions by completing a fixed number of tasks (task difficulty doesn’t matter), however of the 7 remaining regions you may only pick a maximum of 3, rendering about half the map inaccessible for you throughout the league. These areas may be picked freely in any order, meaning strategy and style of play is important factors when choosing regions.
https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/images/6/65/Trailblazer_League_map.png?9bc1b EDIT: As of 16th of October there have been some changes to many of the areas, involving quest & diary task unlocks. This post should now be updated.
Other notes (from various blogs and Q&As): - Each area has about 10k worth of points.
- There are almost 1000 tasks available.
- Judging by the task progression bar, you'd unlock your 1st region after 50 tasks, 2nd after 100 tasks, and finally 3rd region after 200 tasks.
- Each area adds 6 new slayer creatures to your task list
- Many boss lairs will be instanced in this league, like GWD and DKS.
- All diaries should be completable within their own regions. Only exception is Western Provinces which require both Kandarin & Tirranwn to complete.
- While each unlocked area will autocomplete certain quests, some of them can be done for XP rewards etc. if you unlock areas in a certain way. Ex.: Desert autocompletes Desert Treasure and all its pre-quests. However, you can still do these pre-quests for rewards if you unlock their respective regions first, like Temple of Ikov in Kandarin, or Knight's Sword in Asgarnia.
- If a quest is autocompleted (e.g. MM2 in Kandarin), then you also won't be able to claim any post-quest XP
There is a big uncertainty here, and that’s relics. At this point we don’t know what effects tier 2-6 relics will have, and their effects could very well influence your final decision about which regions you pick. Example could be 1 tick faster attack speed which will make blowpipe an absolute monster. Feel free to comment on anything you’d like to see added/removed here. Let’s get started!

About leagues
Leagues is a seasonal gamemode revolving around completing various tasks on time-limited servers with additional rules such as area restrictions, trade restrictions and boosted xp rates. The goal is to provide a completely fresh and unique gameplay experience which you couldn’t achieve in the main game. Your league progression is entirely separate from the main game, though you can’t play on the same account in both versions at the same time.
Leagues also features tasks, relics and points. Completing tasks is the main objective of leagues, which earns you some league points depending on their difficulty. Task examples are killing a goblin, cook 100 sharks, and obtain an infernal cape. These points can be spent on main game tradeable cosmetic rewards after the league has ended. By completing tasks you’ll eventually earn enough points to unlock relics, which are powerful and permanent buffs to your character while playing leagues. Relic examples are doubled resources from gathering skills, ability to pick your own slayer tasks, and increased attack speed. There are 6 relic tiers, each requiring an increasingly amount of points to unlock, where each tier consists of 3 relics. You can pick one of the three relics, but choose wisely as this is a permanent choice.
