I did law school back in my home country but soon realized it wasn't my cup of tea. It's been 5 years now that I have been working as a social media manager for online gaming companies. However, I feel that there are still some knowledge gaps that I need to fill, especially technical skills such as SEO and Analytics. I learned everything I know by practicing, but I feel like I need to dive deeper into the technical part of (digital) marketing.
An international non-marketing degree is not always viewed favorably by recruiters, even though I can speak three languages and have several years of experience.
That being said, I'm wondering what would be the best program for me to pursue. I'm looking for an online program that can offer me more technical knowledge in marketing. I currently live in Minnesota, but I'm moving to North Carolina soon.
Note: Unfortunately, as a recent immigrant, I don't have $100K-ish to spend on a program, and for obvious reasons I'm not eligible for veteran benefits either.
Can anyone recommend specific programs that fit my criteria? Should I go for an MBA or a Master's program? Or something else?

I always thought that D&D presented very interesting design challenges at every level:
Dungeons and dragon is a role playing game, which means it not only has to have fun and engaging rules like any tabletop game, but these also need to incentive the players to engage with the game's narrative. The role in role-playing is similar to an actor's role, to play d&d you have to act and take decisions as a character and not always as yourself, meaning the game is not only driven by the mechanics of the game but also has to accommodate improvise collaborative character performance, like an improv group except not only limited to comedy, but also drama and tragedy in which every so often you need to roll dice.
So, the game designers not only craft rules, but also stuff for the players to interact, act and react from the point of view of their characters, which mean they have to craft lore, places, background characters, enemies, monsters, cultures, gods, magic items, stories, whole worlds, dimensions and even several universes that are not only fun to interact with the rules and mechanics of the game, but also as a living member of that world, acting upon it. That's the challenge of the designer.
But in order to run a game of D&D someone needs to keep track of the changes the players make to that world, that's the role of the Dungeon Master (also known as DM), a special player that acts as director of the improvised narrative, judge of the rules interpretations and the one who acts all the other characters and monsters that inhabit the world. DMs take the lore and rules made by the designers and chooses to run them as written of modified them to fit the needs of all the players in the table. In fact, it is very rare that the DM leaves anything unchanged from the official publish material, either because he chooses to ignore or add rules to make the game more engrossing to the heroes, or because the other players thought of a solution that the original game designers didn't intended or accounted for, like for example instead of killing the dragon at the end of the dungeon, they befriend him of become their followers, in that case the DM as to continue the story and the world building from that point without using the written material. That's a DM design challenge.
But the other players also have design challenges of their own, they need to build the heroic adventurers of the world that the DM is creating with them. They not only choose what kind of heroes they'll be form a storytelling perspective: a magical melancholic elf whose lifespan of centuries as endure many heartbreaks, a brash dwarf with a propensity for getting in trouble or a sly and wisecracking human, they also have to choose what game mechanics best represents that they want to be, will the elf's magic come from his wizardly knowledge of ancient tomes or will their powers come from his ancient and natural connection to druidcraft. Even if both wizards and druids are magical characters, both are represented very differently in the game mechanics: if the player chooses to be an elf wizard they might be able to cast more spells, more often and with more variety, than the druid, but be more vulnerable to attacks. If the pick a druid, they might have fewer spells, but have options that aren't available to the wizard, such as being able to sprout a prickly vine of the earth and use it as a thorn whip, magically grow bugs into giant insects that follow your every commands or at higher levels even be conjure a tsunami. Only druids are able to cast these spells, they also gain special abilities that wizards don't have, such as being able to transform into animals without casting a spell.
There's also many types of elves that have better mechanical synergy with certain classes. And classes themselves have multiple choices as well. Wood elves might be better druids and high elves might be better druids, but this mechanical decision will most likely impact the narrative. The upbringing of an wood elf druid has important lore differences with that of a high elf wizard. When a player creates a character, they not only have to keep in mind how well different races and classes interact, but what implications those combinations have on the way they might interpret that character. Not only the interaction of the rules but the way the Lore of those set of rules affects the personality or worldview of the character they are creating. This is the design challenge of a player.
Game designer, DMs and player together make D&D the unique experience that has brought friends under the same roof, a top the same table,, since the 70's. This was going to be my original pitch, but this year something shook the foundations of the hobby, a change that impact profoundly how the community sees itself.
Because the important role of the DM in modifying the game and even creating creatures, stories and settings of their own and sharing them with other tables, in 2000 Wizard of the Coast, the parent company that owns D&D, released the Open Game License, a document that recognized the value of this works and set aside a portion of the rules and Lore of the game to be use freely by anyone, even for profit, as long as proper attribution was given.
With the upcoming release of the sixth edition of D&D (an overhaul of the rules made by the designers) and the change in landscape with the massive adoption of the internet, wizards of the coast created a document that made null and void the previous open game license, and in its place set a new one that was much more restricted on what and how D&D fan works could be sold. The response of the role-playing community was overwhelming, the leak of this document cause massive cancelations of D&D beyond, the only platform of excellence to buy digital d&d material. The exodus was so great the the page disable the functionality of subscription cancelation for a day. After an official apology the material covered under the original Open Game License was released under Creative Commons, giving even more freedom to the creators that what previously available, under a irrevocable creative license.
This speaks not only to how important is the right to modify the game is to the community, but how coordinated it can be to defend that right.

I’m bi, I think. I’m still so insecure over feeling masculine. I dress moderately feminine, I have pretty basic style. But I feel like my hands, my lower register voice, my calm, bordering on stoner-ish personality might contribute. I’m good looking, very much so conventionally femininely attractive. But in a way that i can tell if someone swiped on me on a dating app, they’d be expecting someone different. I have always felt a lack of femininity, when i was younger I felt like it was because i was an overweight kid. I look at feminine women and just feel some sort of disconnect, I can’t put my finger on what makes me different. A friend said something to me like “oh well you’re not girly” when asking my opinion on a “girly” shirt and another said jokingly that they imagine me driving only using one hand. And it drives me crazy because i can’t put my finger on what the difference is between me and those friends. And i don’t feel masculine necessarily, so it makes me uncomfortable.

The past week my 9 week old wriggles and pushes me away when I try and hold him to sleep during the day; he has always loved to snuggle in and contact nap on me before this. I've tried to set him down into his own space to see if he's outgrowing the need for a contact nap and he hates it and starts crying to be held; then the cycle continues! Anyone has similar experience and what can I do to help?
He's not a gassy baby, hates swaddling, takes his dummy no problem but doesn't seem to help! I follow his sleepy cues as I always have so I don't think he's overtired; I feel like I'm not comfy for him to sleep on as he gets bigger! Once he does sleep on me he wriggles until about 45 mins after he's been asleep 🤷♀️

I have seen lots and lots of people saying that the plot holes and timeline are super confusing and doesn’t make any sense (which it doesn’t :P) but personally I never really had a problem with them?
I have always pretended that they were part of the mystery and no one really knows what is happening in the town of rosewood, the plot holes and timeline confusion adding to the overall mystery :P
I think that I might be in the minority here, but curious to see what everyone else thinks?

Whenever I think of FB 1's ending, I always wished that FB 2 and FB 3 would focus more on Newt's story rather than Dumbledore and Grindlewald's.
For example, a topic that could have been touched on more in FB 2 and FB 3 was the budding relationships between Newt/Tina and Jacob/Queenie. Maybe explore the challenges of muggle/no-maj and wizard relationships in 1920s US. Or even see what Newt's and Tina's relationship would've looked like if they dated.
Another topic the sequel movies could've covered (bettedifferently) was how Credence found his biological family. I wished Newt and Tina had a more involved role in helping Credence. Newt has a lot of magizoological knowledge that would most likely help Credence control his obscurus. Tina is the closest good side person to Credence to emotionally support him.

So this gets kinda messy really sorry about that. Okay sorry if its hard to follow but basically im 20 and ive never had a single meaning relationship(including platonic) I spent my middle school and high school lunch periods sitting alone somewhere just drawing. I always tried talking to people but no one ever really seems to like me enough. But i met a guy last year, who i know for a fact has no feeling for me, and after he found out i was a virgin he changed a lot. I guess i just went a long with it because i was just desperate that maybe there would be even a slight chance he'd stay with me(sorry that sounds so depressing ha). Right after (like 20 minutes) after he dropped me off, he just sent me money for a pregnancy test and blocked me. Cut to last week when he messaged me out of the blue about seeing each other again. But now hes claiming that he actually cares for me and that he was just nervous. He now says that he "couldnt stop thinking about me". And that he"wants to get to know me more" he says all that but still wouldnt stop talking about sex. I know i probably shouldnt see him again but im starting to think hes my only shot at having a person in my life. I wanna both never want to see him again and run back to him in hopes of having some kind of i dont really know what. - events should be added for 24h? you added an event for 12 hours per day in your time zone. but in Europe practically the whole event was at night, so in total I played it for 2 hours. (18.00-6.00) I think it lasted something like that. to be fair, I think it should be 24h so that everyone can play at the time they always play.
- Can eg a warrior and a priest also get the ability to cast without a selected monster? why did only the archer get this opportunity?
- playing on the phone in a vertical position is great, but you need to improve it. but don't leave the idea. -I would reduce the chat window slightly to make it more readable.
- I would move the screen slightly to fit 1 square on the side.

How come when I try and tell family that I am having a hard time and I need time to my self they always brush it off and compare it to themselves? I’ve opened up in multiple occasions saying I need a day off for my self but then I get met with “ I wish I had time from my self” it just makes me feel like a burden.

TL;DR This post is basically a list of things wrong or weird with my car. I’m wondering if anyone else has had similar issues or has helpful advice. (I have a feeling some of the comments will be burn the car and save myself while I can, but I’m broke and just want to fix what I can before it gets worse) Long post ahead, sorry..
Background info: Automatic with sport mode, 2012 Ford Focus Titanium in Canada. I bought it second hand from my grandparents in 2020 at about 120 000km and they had the transmission replaced a few years back by Ford for the recall and had no issues after. They looked after it well, did regular maintenance and ran only synthetic oil. Currently at 296 000km
-Driver side dipped beam (low beam) is out out, tried to change the bulb and it didn’t work (checked to see if it was the new bulb on the other side and worked fine), checked the fuse and it’s not the fuse from what I can tell. Passenger light work fine and high beams work fine on both sides. Looking at the wiring theres no visible fraying or broken wires? Got pulled over for a headlight being burnt out and was given a warning and really don’t want the next time to be a ticket if this can be fixed easy. -Can’t find anything regarding a Focus online about this.
-It’s extremely LOUD in the car while driving, as if I’m in an airplane. Theres no specific ticking or grinding, just loud as hell inside the car. I’ve gotten used to it and listen to music loud on the highway, but after driving in other cars realized that its a lot louder then others.
-The notorious shuddering while accelerating from a stop and RPM sometimes go super high trying to switch gears on the highway. Personally I’ve kind of learned how to drive so it doesn’t do that, but when other people drive it, it happens more.
-I have to kind of counter steer a tiny bit while driving because the car pulls to one side, but that could be an alignment or balance issue and I realize isn’t specific to Focus. (that I know of)
-Randomly gives me the notification “hill start assist is unavailable” while driving, not often, and the car keeps running fine, or that my hood is open.
-(not dire) MyKey activated and cannot turn off myself because original key fob was lost and I accidentally turned it on using the new fob that was programmed for it (not admin key). -maxes out at 130km/h, music doesn’t play without seatbelts buckled while driving. Neither of those things necessarily bother me because I always wear my seatbelt and max speed limits here are 110km/h. However would like to bypass this/turn off myself if I can?

I've been coming back to the game for about a month now, and since I don't have 36 hours a day to devote to roll holes and map chains anymore I figured going FW would be perfect to offer a laid back "on-demand" playstyle.
I was correct, FW is fantastic, the overhaul they did while I was away is a massive upgrade in all regards and I'm having a blast. The only "meh" thing imo are battlefield, and more specifically the spam of them.
It's all fun plexing, hunting in kitchen sink microgangs and getting involved into shit until someone on the militia channel shouts "BF up in XXX". Then half of the active players move toward that point, you have to formup n shit.
Which in itself is fine but it happens so often, I feel like once a BF is run an other spawn 30 mon after. Yeah I know it's about 1 offensive and 1 defensive per 3 hours per faction. But given how long it takes to run them it feels there's always a BF up.
And if you just want a break from it and you want to chill and keep doing what you do, most active players are at BF so you aren't getting quite as much action as you'd like. Added to that, when uncontested BF aren't exactly fun to run.
All in all I'd be fine with them if they were not so common. 4 - 7 a day, something along those lines, and higher stakes upon completion, would make them much more enjoyable imo.

To make an incredibly long story short... after a chain of events and a couple mental spirals, I've started to realize I have this really maladaptive behavior. It has never occurred to me that this would upset other people or be harmful since my intentions were to express accountability and recognition, or to de-escalate a tense situation, and oftentimes I am not in my right mind when I say or do these things so I'm not always thinking or reasoning clearly, but the more I think about it the more I've begun to understand. I tried googling a bit since I don't have anybody else to ask for answers and came up with nothing. I'm not sure many other people do this...
So like. Tl;dr, when I feel afraid that someone is upset with me for something I have done and I feel the urge to apologize (which I do often, this is another bad habit I need to work on...) I tend to put myself down a lot in the process. Like I go for a straight up verbal self-flogging to whoever I think is upset. After realizing that I do this, as up to this point it was like. Purely reflexive and instinctual; didn't even notice I was doing it, the words slip out as I feel intensely afraid or threatened that if I don't say these things stuff will get worse or I'll suffer some kind of physical or emotional pain... I've been racking my brain to try and figure out the reason behind this instinct and I am confounded.
I have been convinced for way too long that this behavior was actually helpful in de-escalating tension and that I was acting in a way that was morally right by taking accountability of my negative actions, and was displaying that I was willing to accept consequences for them, or maybe shrinking myself so small that whoever is upset feels like I am not a threat to them or that I'm too pitiful to pick on or something. After a messy situation it's started to occur to me that to outsiders this is not only super weird and unpleasant, but can also implicate the other party that you think they feel this incredibly hostile way about you, I think?
Usually the conversation about self hatred is about internal feelings, which I have in spades don't get me wrong, but I can't find much advice or insight online about externalizing these thoughts in an attempt to de-escalate a tense social situation...
I was bullied pretty terribly all throughout my primary education and quite a bit online since then, and have been living with my family, which is rife with untreated mental illness and dysfunction but could easily be worse. Other than that I have no history of abuse or trauma or anything. I'm not sure any of that even counts.
Where could I have picked up the idea that sacrificing myself in such a way was helpful behavior navigating conflict? Has anybody else got experience with this?
And like. People in my life are very upset with me for engaging in this behavior. To the point where they are not willing to explain or talk to me about what happened or how they're feeling or what they're thinking... I've been mostly ghosted by everybody I used to talk to regularly and am left questioning how to speak to anybody I have left
But I'm not sure how to make it up to them (if they ever decide to talk to me again...) without continuing to put myself down... All I ever do is blame myself already, and falling into that loop once again will only make them angrier. But dodging accountability for my actions is selfish and irresponsible and again I already worry quite obsessively that I am abusive and narcissistic even though I don't share much in common with the narcissist mindset and I don't knowingly engage in any type of behavior to control or exert power over anybody, or to get what I want from them without having to ask. Like I said I feel it is instinctual and reflexive, I do it without thinking much about it as a self defense measure but obviously it has the opposite effect that I think it does... But trying to explain this during an apology is just more centering of my own feelings and experiences in a situation where I was in the wrong. The intention and the reason for harm never matters, it never erases the harm...
Am I just a "covert narcissist" who doesn't know they want to control people, or is unaware that they have an elevated self perception? I cannot fathom what other rational motivation for this could be...
Before anybody says anything I'm fully aware that this displays a gross lack of social grace and neuroticism. I've been this way my entire life. I suspect I may also be autistic but I dodged a diagnosis of that in my youth and don't know if getting one now would be worth it. I am also working with a professional but most of my spiraling and thinking about this has been between appointments.
Am I just a bad person? Is there anything I can do?

Tonight has been worse than usual . It all started about a sock of his around 6 pm. He said all his socks were going missing as he found one behind the bed . We started arguing and of course his usual berating of calling me dumb bitches and telling me how horrible of a woman I am . I went and put ny headphones in and just hung out until I cooked dinner . Around 8 I cane into the room with my tacos in hand and answered a call from my cousin telling me that I should g too San Diego with her . I was super excited and let out a little scream . He popped up and grabbed his headphones and called me a bitch . So I asked why he did that . What the big issue is. I started with him tonight . I’m so tired . Of always being the one wrong . I asked him why .he started yelling and telling me to shut the hell up nagging him about him calling me out my name . So I started telling him I don’t have to . As the argument got worse he got more angry . He told me he would flip everything over in the room . As we continued screaming he came over to my side if the bed and slapped me across my face . After slapping me I stood up and told him to stop. He grabbed some by the side of my head and started slapping me, grabbing me, and punching me . We kept arguing ad of course I start crying . I’ve been crying nonstop since 8 . After he calmed down while sitting in the edge of the bed I poured myself a drink and kept crying . He told me to get over it . Sparking more argument . He told me to get over it . That upset me so I kept crying I went into the dark bathroom to cry . To let it out . When I came back he was even more mad again . The berating started all over again . He’s calling me stupid bitches and telling me that that was his way of trying o make it better and that I alway reject him making things right . I mtired you guys . I really am. I put all my money into this house so I can’t afford to leave . I wish I could leave encijd it was for 1 night .
