2023.05.28 14:20 Grand_Election_6340 My [27F] insecurities about my body are ruining potential relationships [28M] how do I learn to love myself?
Are vaginas disliked in real life as much as people online say that they are?
I am reclusive and on Reddit I learned that people in general believe that men commonly sexualise and fetishize women who have penises, whereas women and gay men don't commonly sexualise and fetishize men who have vaginas
I learned that people in general believe that oral sex is much more performed on men than performed on women. And that this has nothing to do with men being selfish, since gay men are also male and are not known at all to have issues giving oral to men
I learned that people in general believe that vaginas are seen as gross, taboo and have stigma. Also periods too. And that gay men are more openly disgusted by and insulting towards vaginas than lesbians are towards penises. Also that lesbians commonly watch gay porn and are more open to transgender women who have penises
I learned that people in general believe men are more attracted to a performance or costume of femininity than they are to actual women. So overweight women, non feminine women and women who don't shave are more of a turn off than feminized men who look like women
I learned that vaginas are not appreciated as much as large penises, boobs and butts are. And that men are obsessed with anal and eating ass
That sex is seen to be all about the penis, so lesbian sex has it's validity questioned whereas anal (like between gay men) doesn't, so vaginas are less valued. Also that bisexual people often prefer penises
I learned that femdom is mostly about penis imitation in the form of strap ons and pegging
When I asked my parents, sister and psychologist about these things they said the vast majority of men have no interest in transgender women pre op nor post op, that oral sex is pretty much 50/50 between women and men, that vaginas and periods are not seen as gross/taboo, that men are not more attracted to femininity than they are to women and that vaginas are appreciated as much as the others, etc. Basically they said nothing that I read online and wrote above is true for the vast majority of people
So, why does everyone online say vaginas are pretty much disliked and unappreciated, in general? These beliefs come up often and are part of f eminist discourse
Also people on Reddit often ask why I care so much & how it effects me. Why do they ask that? Of course I care what I am surrounded by in society, everytime I leave the house. Humans are social creatures. Are most women fine with having to find the needle in the haystack? And not put off by this? I always wanted to ask how the feminist women who believe these things (like that vaginas are seen as gross in society) still feel sexual and still want sex with men, since most of them can often be sex positive too.

2023.05.28 14:20 Girthy_Bulge 38 [M4F] #DMV - Deployed Soldier Looking for College-Age Connection
Hello, ladies (and please, only ladies!) of Reddit...do you like in-shape men in their late 30s? I like to think we're experienced enough to know how to treat a girl right, but still young enough to actually be ABLE to treat a girl right haha :) Do you like men in uniform? I find that tends to be a popular demographic as well...
Just to set expectations, you and I would likely not meet in-person. That's because I am nowhere near my usual East Coast home, and am in fact in [redacted] for the next [redacted] months. So, what I am looking for is a casual, flirty, sexy online relationship of sorts, the parameters of which we can dictate together!
I imagine our conversations would be a mix of smutty and non-smutty topics, though considering what I log onto reddit to do, likely skewing much heavier towards the smutty-- but again, if we click and have some stuff in common, who knows! I don't want to put up any arbitrary rules on it, label it, or establish any expectations-- you have a real life, I have a very real life right now, so let's keep it loosey-goosey and just have fun when the timing works out.
To be sure, while I advertised for college-age girls, anyone over 18 is more than welcome to apply-- I just mentioned college-age in the title because I suspect based on this subreddit, those are the type of women I might attract.
If you're into military guys, great! If not, also great! I don't usually lean too hard into that stuff, but if it gets your motor running I am happy to oblige ;)
One important caveat, please read-- as an experienced Redditor who has engaged in very brief smutty engagements (i.e. erotic roleplaying), I typically have never asked to "verify" the gendeage (roughly) of my counterparts, because, for a quick little anonymous fling, who cares, right? But if we are going to have something more than that (which I hope we do!), I'd ask that you be comfortable sending a verification pic of sorts, and of course I am happy to reciprocate. It certainly does not need to be a nude, or contain your face! And it doesn't have to happen right off the bat either, we can chat and see where the conversation goes first for sure. But I would like to know that the person I am talking to is in fact a girl and of legal age and has the username you contact me under. Hope that makes sense and doesn't come across as creepy or anything! I could explain my rationale, but it's basically that I still continue to get messages from guys...which again, for a normal RP, fine, but I'm not looking to "get to know" another guy.
So ladies, give me a shout if you think you might be interested!

2023.05.28 14:20 Wandamaxipad The Misogynistic Writing in Multiverse of Madness
The more i think about it, the more I realize how apparent the misogyny was for Wanda's character was. Like, in the duration of the film, we're led to believe that the end goal is to keep america alive. KEEP. HER. ALIVE. But in the (disappointing) third act where we see zombie strange fight Wanda, as wong traps wanda in the magical sphere, he exclaims to strange to "take America's power"... I'm sorry... but I thought the whole goal of the movie was to keep her ALIVE. so that only leads me to believe that the goal wasn't to keep her alive, it was to keep her alive long enough to make sure STRANGE GETS HER POWER BEFORE WANDA DOES. cuz GOD FORBID we give the eMoTiOnAl and UnStAbLe woman power. I'm not saying she hasn't displayed traits of being emotional and unstable in the past, I mean, wandavision is literally centered around the fact, but its the fact that we didn't NEED her to be emotional and unstable again... because WandaVision had already perfectly wrote her to be those things without the feeling of her being a CARICATURE of a grief-stricken woman. she just felt like a grief-stricken PERSON. Plus, wandavision wrote a perfect send off for her to be the OPPOSITE of those things. It was such a good opportunity to finally give her growth from her trauma and grief become who shes been destined to be for eons.

i’m gonna be seeing waterparks in dallas, and as someone with a lot of sensory issues, what sort if things can i do to avoid any problems? any specific loud sudden noises i need to brace myself for, and will earplugs help? will having some sort of indicator on saying i don’t like to be touched mean anything or is that unavoidable? i have no trouble in loud flashy places like nightclubs but a concert is not a nightclub lmao

2023.05.28 14:19 xuding9999 Not sure what my life goal is
I am an IT professional and have worked in the industry for five years. Now I am in the situation where I don't know what my next goal is.
Money wise is in a good state but feel like something is missing. I do want to learn such as Japanese and piano. Just don't know how I should start or don't really have magnificent passion to pursue it. I don't have much any close friends but sometimes I go out and meet friends and hang out with the dogs. It does not fulfill me in some way and I feel i couldn't be intrigued by anything now.
I was thinking perhaps I should do a gap year solo travelling for a year? That would impact my career path later on. Overall I feel the life is a bit boring and not quite fulfilling. I don't know what I should do.

2023.05.28 14:18 Weepingwillow1993 My(F29) husband(M29) is unhappy with our sex life.
Hi everyone.
My husband(M29)keeps letting it be known that he is unhappy with me(29) and our sex life. We’ve been together for almost ten years. We usually have sex twice a WEEK and to him it’s not enough. We got into an intense argument about it last night because he has been making passive aggressive comments about it all week. This has been an issue for the past year and I’m tired of fighting over it. I love my husband and agree on everything else except this. I think 2-3x a week is normal , he does not. Mind you it’s been this way for years and in the past during some really hard times went months without having sex. We’ve gotten through it all and don’t argue a lot other than this.
I work with the public in a financial institution and usually come home completely drained after work. I have a low social battery and I think it plays a part on why I’m so tired and lack of sex drive. I would consider leaving my job to find a new one with less socializing but if I leave now I will have to pay back my college tuition from this year.
I have no clue what to do. I won’t force myself to have sex if I’m not in the mood. Is sex twice a week terrible? Im worried this is sign our marriage coming to an end? I think sex is a huge part of a relationship and it makes me sad we aren’t compatible in that way anymore.

2023.05.28 14:18 Grand_Election_6340 How do I handle being despised by my spouse? [28M] [27F]
I discussed the things that I read online and on Reddit about sexism, with my parents, sister and psychologist
Everybody online says (in so many words) basically that women like men more than men like women and in a more well rounded way
My parents, sister (who identifies as a feminist) and psychologist answered some of my questions and they told me:
That most people don't think that women like men more than men like women & in a more well rounded way. They said most people don't think that if you took sex away, men would instead prefer other men in all other ways (because they don't think men are superior to women.) They said boomer men and male comedians who make jokes about hating their wives also have as many equivalents of wives making jokes about hating their husbands
That most people think that sexism is more common towards women but not sooo much more common and that sexism is not about hating women, it's about men having had the physical power in the past to exert strength to gain control. Also that sexism towards men is not just a thing as backlash of sexism towards women
And that traditional roles for women, women in history and women in Muslim countries are not believed by most people as meaning women are inferiolesser, and are instead seen as different but equal. So men worked and women had just as important a role in raising a family. And just like women weren't seen as capable to do men's roles, men weren't seen as capable to do women's roles even if they didn't enjoy work and wanted to spend more time with their children. And most people don't think traditional roles mean women were there to serve men or defined by relationships to men, since men were expected to marry and work to support them
They also said most people don't think that violence against women is a hatred of women. And that it's instead about testosterone (men being more violent) power, control and women being easier targets
They also said most people don't think that men objectify women while women don't objectify men nor that women respect men more (and treat them better) than men do towards women
They said most people don't think that women/girls hate each other, compete, get jealous, be catty and b itchy, form cliques, become mean girls, have internalised misogny and want to be "cool girls" while men have deeper friendships, bonds, bromances and camaraderie
And they said that most people think that boy's clubs in work places like the police also have girl's club equivalents and that men are not held to lower standards/praised for the bare minimum in typically female jobs, roles and hobbies (gay male makeup artists, drag queens, fathers spending time with their kids), while women have to prove themselves and are held to higher standards in typically male jobs, roles and hobbies. And that women don't support and praise gay men more than they (and straight men) do lesbians
What do you think? If the people in my life are wrong, and if the internet is right that most women accept that women like men more than men like women, in a more well rounded way and always have...then I want nothing to do with men or women: working with them in a job setting, surrounded by couples in public, being friends with them nor having relationships with them. Because it's pathetic, desperate and unrequited love. It put me off men completely, I lost all attraction and I dunno why it doesn't for the women who believe and accept these things and think that they have to find the needles in the haystack.

2023.05.28 14:18 OneTimeeeeee Very old account recovery.
Hello! So I made my first steam account 18 years ago… I played a ton through my public and highschool years. Recently I became aware that old accounts can be recovered but the email I used as a log in is long deactivated. I reached out to steam to try to get access to the account again and was asked to provide a CD key for the original game I used to create the account…. I have no idea what that is at this point. Does anyone have any ideas on how to proceed if I can’t find the CD key?
Thanks!

2023.05.28 14:17 pleasedonotcall Pink Tape Vocals Gonna Be Insane
Regardless of whether you like Prove a Point, the vocals on the song (especially the hook) are clearly the strong point. Then you look at the RL snippets:
Head Crack - A voice Uzi has never given us before
City Girl - Vocals incredibly versatile to the point that they can extend into adlibs (even if he does use the same flow for the whole snippet)
And even on the throwaways that made it to R&W:
Space Cadet - IMO the start of a shift in what Uzi's music will sound like, vocals stacked/layered to create a more "full" feeling song.
Cigarette - Similar to Space Cadet but in a more relaxed manner.
Just look at the direction this man is going with music, with EA he was taking his time but what direction was he going? With Pink he's spending time honing in on having his voice reach new heights but at the same time he's not sacrificing the quality of his beat selection either. I can rest easy knowing this will be his best body of work.

2023.05.28 14:17 mimi897 Is this adult life forever?
I'm 33. I never knew what to do with myself, never had a passion for something and I ended up in a field that I don't love but sometimes I enjoy. Money was ok.
8 months ago, I had a work accident, the company did support me only after I got a lawyer and only with the surgery cost - but it was all super expensive because I had to do it in a different country.
I spent months at home, alone, going out only for PT. I started work after 2 months super freaked out that I will get fired, my creativity was down and I couldn't work properly. PT got increasingly more challenging and I am tired all the time but I need to do it.
My dog got sick and it cost all my savings to save him.
My bf works 24/7 because he has a low paying job and his father has cancer and all money goes on his treatment. He doesn't take care of himself as in wears dirty clothes, doesn't take a shower etc, so we had 0 sex. When I did want to try again, I realised my endometriosis is back and I might need another surgery.
Also my mom's health is not good but she kinda hid it (now I feel bad for saving the dog) and she is exhausted from caring for my grandma (her mother in law) and father - who is super old fashioned and lazy. He does no chores and makes money only for house bills. My mom does all the heavy lifting.
I am so behind at work, so tired all the time probably because of the mental load, I go to therapy but I feel everything keeps getting worse. The work accident, then endometriosis and no sex cuz it hurts too bad, then the dog illness plus now I take care of it, my mom is not well and my dad is a lazy asshole, that I am also worried about because his health is shit. He is having a gold bladder removal tomorrow and I wouldn't be surprised if something this simple causes complications for him.
I used to have a mediocre life and go on a vacation a year, worry about easy stuff. Now I am in debt, with probably one more year of PT ahead for my knee and, everyone around me is sick too, even the dog.
I feel like there is no light in sight. I feel like crying when friends share photos from their vacations and walks on our group Whatsapp group.
What helped you go through difficult times in life? How did you keep your hope alive and had motivation to oush through?
No one is coming. There is no prince charming who will fall in love with me and get me out of this shithole. No rich connected friend who can offer me a better job. No miracle course that can get me a higher earning job in 6 months. I just need to stay focused and take it one at a time. But it's so damn hard. I don't know how to do it. I feel so alone and miserable and I want a good life for myself.

2023.05.28 14:17 Purple-Ticket4362 Dalhousie Commerce or Western BMOS (not Ivey)
I’m so on the fence between these two. I had accepted Dal’s offer at the beginning of May but was later accepted at Western, in their BMOS program. I think I just squeaked in, my average is 84%. Dalhousie has co-op, Western doesn’t. I really like Halifax but I’ve never been to London. Best friend is going to Western, same program. Does anyone know which is the better program (assuming I’m not going to Ivey)? And by that I mean, which one will make me more employable? I’m not sure about business specialization yet. Marketing, Finance, project management,…

2023.05.28 14:17 Humble-Questioner A Little Support for Genealogy of Morals From the English Language
Modern English "Villain" comes from the Old English "Villein" which simply meant "Commoner"
This supports Nietzsche's idea that the concept of good and bad originally came from the contrast between rulers and subjects
Furthermore the English word "Fair" is of interest. Fair can mean "light coloured, like blonde or white", but it also simply means "beautiful" particularly in the context of a woman or girl, it also can just mean "good" as in "he was fair minded", "I won fair and square".
This supports Nietzsche's racialist idea in GofM that the Indo-Europeans were a light-coloured people who conquered previously existing races in Europe, which modern science now refers to as "Early European Farmers".
I am a bit skeptical as to how true this is though, since as I understand it light-colouration including blondism actually emerged among EEF people and that Indo-Europeans only developed these traits after mixing with them. I would definitely need to ask an expert on this to come to a conclusion
An alternate reading of the word "fair" meaning both good and blonde could come from blondism being more concentrated in the upper classes due to sexual selection for blonde women?
Nietzsche's racialist theories did not have the insights that modern genetics gives us so unfortunately he does make mistakes in his works. Still I think there is truth to his concept of good and bad coming from social hierarchy

2023.05.28 14:17 karagiannhss (Spoilers) A hypothesis about Roshan's life and goals during and Mirage's story.
Based on story leaks and by her cameo in Valhalla, we know that at some point during mirage, Roshan will have a falling out with Basim, that will lead her to desert/be expelled from the Hidden ones' brotherhood of Baghdad. In addition we also know that she survives mirage and lives all the way to Valhalla, when she meets with Eivor, though we don't know much about what she did during that time.
A hypothesis i had about her though is that when we meet her in Valhalla she is not only no longer a member of the Hidden ones' brotherhood, but neither a believer of the Hidden ones'creed.
Infact, based on the fact that we don't really know on what specific date or year the Valhalla cameo takes place (we know its definitely some point after the raven clan arrives in Britain meaning 872 and before Eivor leaves for Vinland meaning 888) i think its highly possible that when we meet roshan in Valhalla she could be working secretly with Ælfred to establish the new templar order by, to quote her; "planting a seed in Jerusalem", which could mean a lot of things, but considering that historically, of the two main factions, it was the templars and not the assassins that originated in the city of Jerusalem, it would be safe to assume that she likely experienced a form of disillusionment that led to her abandoning the creed, although while continuing to fight the order, until she learned that there was a certain renegade grand Maegister of a branch of the of the order, in a far away misty island in the north sea that was once ruled by the great roman empire, who seeked to destroy the heretical ways of the order of the ancients and form a new one from its ashes.
This would likely attract her to meet with this grand Maegister, as she would be seeking a mew way of life and belief going forward in her life, and it could be highly possible she would find common footing with Ælfred before joining up with "the poor fellow soldiers of Christ"

2023.05.28 14:16 Aetrias To understand finite power and seasonal characters
There are several comment here and there which states that the seasonal char is your main char and you have no reason to stick with an “old” character.
Please help me understand this. I understand that D4 has finite power but I assume there are content what you can collect/complete/achieve. Legendaries, etc.
While I am hiped for this game and cant wait for discover its features, i really like to stick for one-two characters and completing stuffs. (This why I love WoW however i am fully aware that the two game is completly different genre and wow has around 20 years of content)
So again, i am not complaining, i am not saying that anyting should be changed; i just wish to understand what people mean when saying i have no reason to play an old char.
Thank you in advance!
